Don't guess, or hope, know. I would get a reputable LR mechanic that you trust to do an inspection on the one you like the best. If it checks out, pull the trigger. I'm at around 118,000 after having owned it a year. Bought it at 103,000. Just got the oil changed again today, $200. Also got an estimate to replace all the fluids, $2,000. Thanks to everyone for chiming in with your comments and advice. That was a lot of fun. The roads are clear again and it's likely that we won't see another significant snow for the rest of the year. @ktm525 We're just south of Surrey, BC on the USA side. Occasionally, we will get a Nor'easter blowing frigid air and winter storms in from the Fraser River Valley up north in BC. When that happens, we'll get some snow for sure, but I'd say it's only on the ground for a couple weeks per year...- BigBriDogGuy

I've always had vehicles that took advantage of momentum when driving in snow, but I am finding that's the opposite with the LR4.
