    I would think these two would be easy to differentiate; vacuum pump is front middle, and alternator is a good bit to the side and back. The vacuum pump also would have it trail go back to the oil cooler and pan. If the alternator has any oil residue on it, it can really only come from one place...

    Most likely the passenger valve cover; will also cause the alternator to fail if not addressed.

    Dice sound could be your supercharger coupler if you still have the original spring version. Take the belt off the SC pulley and twist it back and forth; see if that ticking sound is the same you heard.

    And to clarify, it is disabled WITHOUT having the light on the dash constantly. The only time my light has come on is when the aux battery went bad; went away after replacing.

    This can be disabled permanently through a performance tune; I set that as a special instruction when I got mine. Not sure what they do in the process and if it can be done a different way, but it’s a permanent fix and the only way I know of.
