IID Tool question
LOL, yeah, stupid beeps! Well I checked and didn't see anything to turn it off. But that doesn't mean it isn't in there. I suck at using that tool. Anyway, you know you can at least turn the volume setting down a little in the nav screen menu, right? -

You can turn it down with the radio volume knob. But that's not permanent, just for the one time. I am not sure if the IID tool does it, I'll try to take a look. -

I don't know what a cranking noise sounds like, but what kind of gas are you using? How many miles? Ever had the throttle plate cleaned? -

Since I bought my '13 two years ago, periodically I get a "turn on engine, battery low" message and icon on my nav screen. Maybe 1 out of 10 or 15 starts. It flashes on for a fraction of a second before the Nav boots up. So fast that I'm not exactly sure what it actually does say. Zero other... -

Thoughts?
I like them. My guess is if they originally came with them and then you showed us the "new custom round ones", nobody would like the round ones. That said, it just doesn't matter to me unless as Ryan said they did something special. If they were free, I might take them, but that's about it. -

About those Plastic Windshield ticket tabs...
They got rid of them. I liked them too :( I suppose that doesn't mean that you couldn't install them, I never really looked to see how they were attached on the LR3. -

IID tool has a setting to turn off spare separately from the other 4. -

Request big favor from someone with iiD tool & 2016 LR4
Mine have never hooked up. I settled on that it must be that my 1.25" spacers have pushed the sensors out of range. Doesn't make sense really but two sets haven't worked. And when I put the 19"s back on it hooks up immediately. -

You can just reset to factory settings, which should turn the TPMS back on. Take note of what the correct TPMS settings are, and turn them off again from there if you wish. Not sure,why they aren't working, did you drive long enough with the correct pressures to get them to sync? -

Brake pads already worn?
You should check to make sure your caliper slide pins (if that's what they are called), are working properly and not corroded. Had that happen to me on my LR3 once. -

I don't think anybody is frothing at the mouth at all. If keeping the key out of the car works, then it works. It's good FWIW information to know if this should arise with anybody else. So officially, thank you for posting :) -

Agree with the above. I cringed a little when I read that, the computer probably just totally wigged out. I'd put the old ones back on and see if it works. My guess is that it might not and that the front left will still be out of whack with the others. If it doesn't, maybe try a hard reset... -

Why don't you take off and use the rails from the LR3? That's what I did. I just put the LR4 molding on the 3 and sold it as if it never had rails. Man I miss that color... -

LR4 Black Front Grille
I would probably paint the grill over plasti dip, and definitely over powder coating. (can you even powder coat plastic??) I PD'd the side grills, but due to it's rougher texture, I think it would be too hard to scrub bugs off the front grill. -

Long term plan for the LR4
I'd love to think this would become the next Defender 110. ($100,000+ used now) If so, I'd buy another one and wrap one up in bubble wrap for 20 years. I can't see driving anything else in order to save mine, so it's just gonna have to get used. Fortunately I don't put a lot of miles on it... -

My calipers are within millimeters of the rim. I even had to file one a bit because that wheel must have been slightly out of round. My weights are outboard of the calipers. -

Found an LR4, a couple pre-purchase questions...
Keep in mind that many indy dealers don't even know what an HD package is, let alone how to identify it. That's how I ended up with mine. I was just making calls to a few dealers for fun. Figuring it probably didn't have HD, I asked the salesman if it did and that it was an absolute must... -

It's hard for me because somehow I still live in 1990s dollars. But my first RR 1991 SWB -which I loved but was generally a pile of crap compared with what you get with the new Land Rovers- had a sticker of somewhere in the $45,000 range. So with 80% inflation, and TONS of improvements...- roverman

What do you think, new bushings needed?
Same here in MI, my brakes last forever compared to a lot of rovers. Although it sounds like I do have a premature rear LCA bushing wear going on right now. I was thinking I'd see how hard it was to replace just the bushing only. Atlantic british has a video of doing it.
