Generally, and I mean very generally I would avoid coupons and deals as they might use synthetic (questionable), but they will use a crappy filter. I also doubt they would honor that price once they figure out there are 8 quarts involved. As far as top offs, you probably wouldn't be low on... -

I'm sure you're frustrated, but this is one that nobody here will be able to diagnose from across the internet. Could be a loose wire, could be the thing was made on a Friday and someone forgot a part... It might suck, but the good news is it's got to be covered. -

Need new lower control arm bushings
Haven't done it myself on the LR3 but had them done. Putting it in doesn't seem too hard, but then I think you need an alignment. -

Oil Change
If you've ever changed your oil in any car in the last 100 years, this is just as obvious. You have a couple skid plates to take off, but the oil filter is where it should be and the drain plug is where it should be. If you buy one of those socket type oil filter wrenches it will be easier to... -

Car wash on rails or 100% hand wash only?
I use,one on occasion, never had a problem. Doesn't do as good of a job as I would by hand. Mainly I will do it in the winter when I want to wash the salt off the undercarriage. Like BByer said, check your wipers! -

Quick stupid question. Was there a change in the V8 engine from 05-09? Mechanic said in 05 it was BMW then Ford after that. If true, I sure didn't know it....if false, I don't think I trust this mechanic! -

LR5 Release Updates?
I bought a '13 even though I was originally considering an 11 or 12 mainly because it was the last year that had the big V8 and figured it'd hold it's value more. But yeah, it's still going to depreciate a lot. Maybe just a little less lot.- roverman

I haven't been able to find any appreciable difference in stopping distance between the 3 and the 4. Both high 125-130 feet from 60-0. So what do the bigger brakes do? They certainly don't last longer... -

Faint metal scraping
You might want to check and see if it's the metal dust shields. It's pretty easy to hit and bend those (like when you're changing brakes ) so that it just barely scrapes on the rotor. Hope it's this, because it takes about 3 seconds to fix. Look for a shinier groove than the rest of the... -

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're saying, but in extended mode, I'll turn the trailer hitch down til it has weight on it. Then get in the car, put it in access mode and it drops down from the trailer hitch. Sounds like I'm not understanding something, it works great. -

Not a fan, nothing against them, but regular oil is fine if changed regularly. But not 3500 miles regularly - way too often, city driving or not. 5000-6000 imo -
