    Anybody else getting gas <=$3?

97 octane. That's great. How do they calculate their rating? Same as Europe or same as here in the US? Europe 98 is more or less equivalent to US 93... If it's like in the US it would mean that you have a euro rating of 102 roughly. Race quality gas.

To compo or not to compo

That made me laugh. That's a great comparison ;) mine is a dude with big muscles tho. My wife named him Bert.

To compo or not to compo

That sucks. But on the positive side the LR4 is just a car/ truck so it's just fine to cut it and weld it.

To compo or not to compo

Yes I read the same thing on ExPo. Truth is, not that many people have run this setup, so... I've been wanting to cut my frame horns too but haven't gotten to it yet.

To compo or not to compo

Funny. I put over 10k miles on my tires installed on the 10 spokes LR3 rims and it never stopped rubbing... Happily switched over to the Compos and I do get a little rubbing but not as much. Different offset.

To compo or not to compo

Yes you still need to grind the huge front calipers for them to work or get a larger spacer. Probably just a few more millimeters. Compos are the easiest and priciest solution.

    Showoff Your LR4

Ah ah ah. It was a crazy rainy day. A little later, I found the limit of the DuraTrac tires in very slippery mud. Almost went down a crack in the earth a few times... That would have been a no come back experience. This photo doesn't do justice to how difficult this road was. This is taken...

    Anybody else getting gas <=$3?

I've been paying between $2.67 and $2.89 down here in Albuquerque. More expensive one is Shell which I usually prefer. This has been going on for over a month now. It's a nice change from the $3.89 to $4.39 I was experiencing in Boston. That combined with much better gas mileage down here...

Maybe I'll give it another shot ;)

Land Rover commissions online short story

Saw this a while back (got it via email from LR, and it is also posted on the ExPo website), I couldn't handle more than a couple minutes. Really bad and boring narration to my taste.

    Another Tire Question

Each tire has a different requirement for rim width. You should find that spec online or call a tire shop. I think you'll be fine.

    2015 LR4 grille color

I'm pretty certain the parts are available and the repair shop simply ordered the wrong ones and did the installation without asking if it was ok. I will call my dealer and ask about this in the next couple days. It seems absurd...

    2015 LR4 grille color

It also seems like you have bigger gap between the hood and the headlight on the driver side compared to the passenger side. Mainly visible by the grille.

    Another Tire Question

The size will be 30.9". You'll be fine. Def no need to update the computer, this is not a MB G-Klasse.

    Winter/Snow Tire Conundrum

I used to have the same Hankooks in 265/65. I took them from Boston to Quebec by -35F on ice and snow (packed and powder) and they performed just fine. Light years ahead of the Contis! You should stick with them, they make for a good all around tire.

    Rear tire carrier LR4

Looks great. I'd possibly be interested in one of these.

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Surfrider is correct about the rubbing. No worries to have and you won't shred your tires on the front or the hvac lines on the rear. Took out the Duratrac on snow and ice. Performed really well. Same as a winter tire on snow and about 85 to 90% equivalent on ice. I love them.

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Yes you can. You'll only have a slight rub at full lock.

    LR4 air suspension pump

The suspension self level/adjust over night. You'd need to test it by turning off the whole system. I'm sure Unberto will explain you how to do this. You can also do a quick search on the LR3 section...

    LR4 air suspension pump

It might be a sign of your air compressor needing to be replaced. If you do replace it get the newer version and you'll have to install the bracket you received with your sliders.

    DuraTracs - Handling?

I had mine underneath for a while but I moved it to the trunk (secured with snatch straps) to not hinder my departure angle (and not mess up the Compo).

    DuraTracs - Handling?

They both are 31.5". Just different footprints. You can go either way. It will depend on what tire you want. I wanted a severe weather rated all terrain tire so I went with the Duratrac (they really are a compromise between an all terrain and mud terrain) in 265/65. I was also aiming at a...
