Have you seen the Rivian? Both truck and SUV look like a good challenge to all of this.

    LR3 or LR4?

I've had both a 2005 LR3 SEL and a 2010 LR4 HSE LUX. I'd personally go with the LR4 for the power and maneuverability. Plus the ride is more comfortable. The LR4 is a beast should you go off road too.

    Service Schedule +

Guy, welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting a 2010 LR4 with low mileage! Try and be proactive on the servicing but like anything mechanical, things will break. I've got about 230,000 miles on my 2010 and it's my daily driver.

    DRL's and GAP tool - 2012 LR4

My dealer did it for $100. At the same time I had them program the trailer lights after installing the kit myself. It seemed pretty standard for them to make any programming change for $100 since they were already in there.

Take it in to a shop and have them test the system by pressurizing it to find a possible leak.

Big LR4 issue, cut losses and sell vs fix?

SwampMonster, smart move to get second opinion. Your question on what can you expect to get out of the truck after the "fix"? I've got 226,000 miles on my 2010 LR4, so maybe another 110,000 miles for you too. BTW, the fuel being used in your vehicle all comes out of the same storage tank; it's...

    Buying a used high mileage 2010 LR4

On the other hand...I've got a 2010 HSE LUX with HD package and 226,000 miles. I love the vehicle, and have stayed on top of the maintenance with it. Yep, occasionally things break, but that's true of all vehicles. Off hand I can't think of a better vehicle that can handle any road condition...

    Your experience about LR4 V8 5.0

223,000 miles on mine, 2010 HSE LUX. Just take care to follow the maintenance schedules and ensure that you change the oil more frequently. Like any vehicle mechanical things break down eventually and the previous posts have noted those.

what’s the fastest you’ve gone in your LR4

This quote from gsxr, "I agree with the previous comments that beyond ~120mph you better have 100% focus far, far down the road. Speeds over 150mph are something most USA residents won't experience on public roads. If a vehicle isn't designed for those speeds, don't do it. If the LR4 has a...

what’s the fastest you’ve gone in your LR4

I might be a fool, I don't know about removing a rev limiter, and I didn't see any wings at the time, but this was part of a training exercise. You are correct that this did not occur within a real world environment.

    2011 LR4 Windshield Wipers Over-rotate

I agree with Jimmy, on the surface it appears as if the arms were removed and then not seated properly so that the up stroke is shortened and the down stroke overextends the sweep.

what’s the fastest you’ve gone in your LR4

A LR 4 in the UK used for a service will go the equivalent of 151 mph and if you've got the bollocks or cojones, it will exceed 70 mph in reverse. Although unless you're in a controlled environment and it's not your own LR 4, I wouldn't try the reverse thing as it's too difficult to maintain...

100k+ miles, Recommendations for proactive 'repairs'?

Be mindful of any smells like gasoline or anti-freeze. Also when it comes time, wax the top of the truck as with use and age the clear coat could start to peel away. And as ktm525 says, stay on top of oil changes. I've got 212,000 miles on mine.

    200,000 mile service advice

Welcome to the 200,00 mile club! I sent an email to Land Rover awhile ago on their recommendations when you hit the 200,000 mile mark. Their response was to just stay with the "A" & "B" service intervals.

    Coolant on the skid plate?

If you're at 38,000 miles, I believe the original Land Rover maintenance warranty covers to 48,000 miles? If so, I'd plan a trip to the dealer and have them repair for free.
