I now installed the lower valence to fill the gap between the new grille and bumper. Took maybe 90 seconds. I did drill a very small pilot hole and it does fit flush, although it is maybe a little shallow of the grill by a mm. -

I do get a little clank on incline on cold start, but nothing like that. If that guy is going to cover ALL repairs, hey. Make sure the work is warrantied!
