Making the LR3 trail ready
FYI on the GPS antenna: I 'temporarily' put mine behind the front map/reading lights (inside the sheet metal/above the headliner). The light just pulls down and snaps back into place. Tucked the wire around the windshield. Easy! It worked so well, I have never gotten around to moving it... -

Looks nice! There are OEM black lug nuts on eBay every once and while. I went with the sprayed on black for easier maintenance, but most PC shops will give you a bottle of touch-up. -
LRT What Happened?
I think this is just a photoshop of a creative person and not anything that had been commissioned by LR. Still, I agree that it is a very interesting concept and probably not terribly difficult for some shops to recreate. -

Yes, factory sub setting works but Im finding it less useful than anticipated because the sub setting also impacts the door speakers. Only at 100% sub level, the LR amp increases the crossover freq to the doors and they sound much happier. I find that I just use the bass setting to control the... -

Power wire follows the headlined to the a-pillar. From there is snaked into the fuse box behind the lower glove box. Then just used the valentine supplied fuse tap. Pick a switched fuse and all set! Un/fortunately here in VA not much occasion to use it any more (they are illegal), but also... -

It REALLY is overkill for my needs. I didnt run any oversized power or grounds to the amp, so I dont think its possible to over heat it. the amp wants 60 amp fuses, but I have it running on the 30amp rear 12v power cuircut - so far so good. (time to get a fire extinguisher). The amp is also... -

So, I replaced it with an line level to RCA converter (Rockford 360) and a Punch 500w mono block amp. Speaker wires back to (2) 10" Punch drives in sealed enclosures. Total over kill, but the factory sub-level adjustment works perfect and sounds great with all types of music. Felt... -
Bad alignment cause suspension fault?
AAA - Like the towing insurance folks? Unfortunately only a LR dealer (and some Ford dealers, very few indie shops, and handful of owners) have the computer equip to properly do an alignment. Locking the air suspension in "tight tolerance" mode and resetting the ride heights on all 4 corners... -

They seem to be. Look for one with maintenance records. I would also try to find an 06 or 07 SE with the options you want if you can swing it. The HSE held their value better since they are all optioned to the hilt -- SE come in any combination of options, so the basic ones bring the resale... -
Problems With the LR3
I have an 06 (43K miles since purchased in April 09). Plan to keep it another 3 year. I initially had suspension issues in the New York winters until they replaced the front ride height sensors. It didnt mind the cold or the wet, but both at the same time would trip a suspension fault... -

Range Rover Sport Bushings on LR3
BUMP - Wish I hadnt missed this post, I just replaced my LR3 bushings (with LR3 bushings). Both of the liquid filled trailing control arm bushings had ruptured. 69K miles on a 2006 - which is better than some make it. -

OH,, I wish I know about the "Range Rover Sport bushings" and the "armored version of the LR3' . I just replaced the POS bushings on both sides at 69k miles last weekend. Damm. -
