    Lower Control Arms: Partsgeek.com Experience?

Lucky8 just started selling control arms with poly bushings. Not sure how much they cost but I would seriously consider these for longevity: http://youtu.be/ExhRWEvhb8A?list=UUUnCLXtAqip_9qd-T1NenbA

    Aftermarket Bonnet Struts?

I took mine off and use the built-in hinge clips. Free and the hood opens further and allows for much better lighting.

    Plow?

I think the lr3 have enjoyed the same revisions. I have an 06 that needed new control arms at 45k (probably needed earlier). Wheel beer ing both also went out at 75k. Now I'm at 105 and still feels tight. That's just one data point and maybe I'll need news ones again soon. Just curious...

    Exterior LEDs?

I camped in my truck last weekend and noticed my interior leds glow slightly all night. Must be some very low voltage always on them. I have had 5 spoke led brake light bulbs for years - no problems (but I have also heard of others having trouble) ymmv. Id get LR4 tail lights, but my metal...

    LR3 SE '06 navigation

I have a garmin / kenwood solution that includes backup camera capabilities in my signature line. If I were to do it again today, I think I would also go with an ipad/nexus mini solution and forgo the backup camera. The backup sensors are good enough. I would really miss my under truck...

New all terrain tires for LR3...funny story

HA - love it! I think they are just perterbed that you didnt buy the tires from them. I got a similar call from the shop when I sent the wife and kid to get tires installed and I had bought the "wrong tire". This shop thought the load rating was too high and the ride would be too harsh. I...

    Another Reduced Engine Performance Thread

Sorry, my TB cleaning procedure was: 1) Call shop, make appointment 2) Deliver LR3 on appropriate date 3) Wait, repeat #3 until done 4) Pay too much, but still worth it 5) Enjoy more performance and better MPG! Have a great weekend!

    Window screens for camping

Made these for an upcoming trip to Rausch Creek. One roll of replacement screen door material, 20' magnet roll, and some hot glue: Works great for sleeping in the back and staying cool!

The obligatory "Show off your LR3' thread

I'm running 32.1" duratracs with no spacers and zero rubbing. Moved the LF ride sensor wire to top of frame, and pounded down the RR wheel liner bump. I'm good at stock heights.

    Strange headlight issue

As a data point - In out network operation monitoring center, we have 4 projection TVs. 2 of them are on 24/7 365, and the other two are turned off nightly. The two that are power cycled nightly, the bulbs are replaced 3 times per year (@$450 ea). The two projectors that never turn off are...

    Strange headlight issue

MTBF is rather inappropriate when it comes to real world use of any arc lamp system. The number of power cycles is the most detrimental to lifespan. ESPECIALLY a power on->off->on cycle while the bulb is hot. The electrodes take a beating during the initial arc, and if they are already hot its...
