I made a set of theses for the xterra out of home depot supplies (door screen, magnet roll, and hot glue). I didnt think they would work on the LR3 because the b-pillar is plastic. -

It took me a week to get my iPhone to pair. Try resetting your phone. On an iPhone its holding both buttons until it reboots (dont use the power off slider). -

yes, the brake switch is a common fault of many modern cars. Its mounted to pedal under the dash (at least in my last two cars). This story actually sounds like a good ad for adjustable arms that could eek out a few more inches out of the suspension. ;-) -
Potential group buy - gauging interest: Headlight protction film / Roof glass film
Most (if not all) glass insurance covers the alpine roof panel. BTW - you should especially be certain you have this policy option if you have the heated windshield. -
Radio Always On??
Normal - Radio come on when the volume button is pushed. The radio wakes up into standby when the car is unlocked. This is how the bluetooth connects before you get in the car. In either case when the car is off, the radio will shut off after 30 minutes. the Radio will also shutdown anytime... -

If you dont want poor sound quality skip sirius. My truck cam with 6 month of sirius free. I was shocked that my iphone streaming slacker radio at only 24k was WAY better sounding. The mainstream sirius startions were tolerable, the more fringe one were distractingly bad, and the talk stations... -
Reg vs Premium fuel?
The premium fuel is often recommended for different reasons for different vehicles. Engines with forced air induction, often require it to prevent detonation and engine damage. Others are 'required' to get a higher published HP rating. This is a deisn trade off often made by marketing folks... -

I never understood that difference. Are Americans more trust worthy ;-) Has anyone retrofitted the locking mechanism? If people are stealing catalytic converters, they were certainly steal gas too. -
