Brakes 2005 Lr3 V8 Help?
I have EBC green pads on all 4 corners. No difference in performance from stock, except less dust. Zero squeeks, but I think that is more a function of the paste on the backside of the pads. If the dash lit up, you will need new sensor wires on alteast one axle. I ended up breaking the other... -

LR3 Oil Change - Anything to watch out for?
Welcome to the club. 8 quarts may be bigger than your typical catch basin. It also shoot out a fair bit laterally, so shift it appropriately. I use a floor jack to move the skid plates. -

SE/HSE, whcih one did you choose/why?
I paid $24K 14 months ago for a 2006 V8 SE 26K miles White& Alpaca w/EVERY option except cooler, nav, and HD. It was missing 2nd remote key, manuals, and roof rack attachments. Even without the NAV, I have sirius and bluetooth. This is the tool I used to find the best deals... -
Rear A/C... How does it work?
THe lines in the passenger rear fender (in harms way of 32" tires are only heater hoses). Sorry, I dont know where the hard A/C lines run, but agreed they are doing a great job! cool as a cucumber! -
SE/HSE, whcih one did you choose/why?
Sorry Bender, but if you got an SE you dont have THE stereo. The logic-7 only comes with the HSE (and now in recent model years not even every HSE). Its also the only option that I feel my SE is lacking. A decent sub can easily rectify the short coming. -

In the used car market, a loaded SE is definitely a price performer compared to HSEs. There is a huge equipment variation of SEs and the stripped ones, pull the average resale down. I love my after-market NAV and 18" wheels (now that they are black). Enjoy! -
To powder coat or not to powder coat....?
I like black. Wish I had done it sooner (like when the tires were off). Just sprayed these with rustolum metalic black: Do it and never look back. -

Brake Lights
The bottom two are bright when the rear fogs are on (pull the light knob out). I found this handy when a brake light went out on a trip, I just swapped it with a rear fog bulb. I need to get some LED bulbs.... -

Have you had to replace your shocks?
Well, I learned something new (shock in side air bag). Thanks! The weight of the car should not impact the life of the shocks. The springs (or airbags in this case) would support the vehicle weight. The shock dampens the movement of the wheel assembly in relation to the vehicle; Shocks... -

Thanks. Easy mod - I wish I did it sooner. I would bet that Dubai LR3 in the pictures is an ex-patriot too, based on the badging. -

????? RUN away from that shop and get a 2nd opinion. There are no "shocks". Never heard of air bag replacements. Even after 150K miles. Wobbly is likely caused by warn out bushings or bad alignment. Good luck and please keep us all posted. -

My truck was 4 days from shipping out to Dubai, just before I bought it....looks just like that one.
