What are you using to scan it with? If it’s just a generic OBDII scanner it probably won’t get you far. I personally use the Gap Diagnostics tool and would not even attempt to own a 3 without one. -

How do you completely delete TPMS on 2007 LR3?, + other minor issue.
The GAP tool (or equivalent) is required owning a 3, in my opinion. It’ll fix your dash light (though errors will still show up if you scan for it). They are a pro level tool that can flash updates to the modules if necessary. If you’re adding a full size spare, I’m guessing you’re adding... -

There’s really no way around the cost. You can buy cheaper code readers, but they’ll be generic and certainly won’t help in this situation. Bite the bullet and buy one of the quality vehicle specific tool (I also recommend GAP), you need it to maintain this vehicle.
