Using a trickle charger will be just fine, your battery is charged and the trickle charger will just keep the battery topped off. -

I would remove the bottom hex, that will allow you to move the compressor away from the frame to give you a little more room. -

I used a long ratchet wrench to remove the upper bolt, with the lower hex removed you will be able to move the compressor. When you install the upper bolt I found that using electrical tape to hold the bolt in place and use a long screw driver to add pressure on the head of the bolt will help it... -

Is there an amperage rating on the cooling box or what does the fuse block diagram call for?My R3 has a cool box but not the my R4 so I would assume they have different ratings. -

Thanks for the replies, I ordered a new Hitachi and rebuilt the old one. I have a LR3 and LR4 that both use the same compressor so this will give me a back up. I did try the amazon units, first one lasted 5 months and that replacement lasted less than a 100 miles which led me to just but the... -

LR4 Mileage Poll
Just passed 106k on my 2011 LR4, about 9k on new timing, cooling and head job. Between the RR and LR3 there R4 stays hot as the wife likes it over the other two. -

Should I buy an extended Warranty?
These are very expensive to keep and maintaine let alone cover the cost of failures. To be honest you should have 5k-10k in the bank to cover repairs. My current warranty does not cover catalytic converters so that cost me $2200 out of my pocket.- Cthehentz

08' RR Catalytic Converter Failure
Little update, after I questioned the shop they replaced the 02 sensors, PVC valves and updated the computers software but the same code would show up after several drive cycles. The last thing they replaced were the catalytic converters, you can feel the difference with increased performance...- Cthehentz

08' RR Catalytic Converter Failure
The wifes 08' RR w/84k miles threw a code and the shop determined it was a bad catalytic converter, what would cause this with such low miles? I okayed the replacement of both ($1900) but this is the first time I have ever had to replace such item so I am a little skeptical.- Cthehentz

None, in fact it is rather sharp even around the coils. Honestly it appears to be a low use type spring or see's very little action. -

I got the R4 back today, it was the driver side latch that had failed. $400 and half a days labor but that also included an oil change.
