    Replacing LR4 wheel arches

The only D4 Commercial pics I see on disco3 have painted arches - it is the interior trim that is different. I think LR3 (D3) arches are the way to go. That said, have you tried pricing UK sites? Non-genuine products are more plentiful there. I see Britpart brand aches on lrparts dot net for...

    Replacing LR4 wheel arches

No local junk yards? Local Craigslist - someone parting out? There are usually a few posted in SoCal at any given time - not sure about your area. Then just clean em up with your choice of "black" product. I've seen a few LR4s that swapped to the black arches before on various forums. Looked...

    Replace key fob

Of all the IIDTool uses, this procedure is very quick. No need to use a charger during. And you can't run the engine while doing this, as the key moves to specific positions.

    Replace key fob

Yes - I have done it for my LR3. I've been using my eBay key for over a year with NO issues. It's a no brainer if you already own the IIDtool. Good luck!

    Lr3 or Disco I?

Since day 1 of owing our LR3 I have spent $2473 on maintenance and repairs. This includes 5 new tires. We bought in Jan 2016 so that averages $700/yr for 3.5 yrs ownership. But the bulk of these expenses were in the first 2 yrs . . . the last year + has been very light. Not bad for being at...

Looking for advice on taking a stock LR3 up a notch to be a bit more capable

I took baby steps with the 265/60/18 Falken Wildpeak and absolutely love them. Not sure if I will go 265/65 next time or not. Biggest Pros: lighter, almost stock MPG, speedo less "off", easy fit full-size spare I am not hardcore - this is mostly my wife's kid hauler - but we have the option...

Why is aux chord is soo quiet...

I had just bought a new cord - new and old sound the same, and work fine swapped into the Jetta with similar input and perfectly normal sound ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I ordered this, one of the suggestions on another thread...

Why is aux chord is soo quiet...

I hope to find an answer as well. This bugs me but I have found no solutions. Also, it seems the AUX will not play out the front speakers - only rear. All speakers work and sound fine on other inputs.

    Transmission Fault

It is hard to give advice on your next steps without some more info. Do you have a GAP IIDtool? Have you read the error codes? They may help narrow down your issues. If you attempt any DIY with these, it is highly recommended that you get one. - Could be as simple as needing new fluid, and a...

    Amber Suspension Fault

Your compressor runs - but is it pumping enough air? Maybe not. Is your desiccant old/saturated/chunky/powdery? Replace? Is one of your valve blocks stuck open? Rebuild/replace? Is your dryer cap cracked? Mine was, between the 2 hose ports - I bought a metal replacement Is your leak significant...

Battery went dead, anything to watch for settings wise?

I think just clock and maybe radio presets. I am pretty sure my radio presets stick around after a battery disconnect - maybe it depends how long it was dead? Are all your saved GPS settings there? Like home address, etc?

    Tpms

Original sensors = 1 or more being too dead to communicate. (Just maybe showed some "life" on test) My money is on needing new sensors (or remove/disable). Good luck!
  24. douglastic

    Tpms

Are the TPMS sensors in each wheel original to the LR3? If they are not original, when were they replaced? Did they test the sensor in the spare? If original, 11 years means they are NOT good anymore. Not sure how the tire shop tested them, but sensors rarely last much past 10 years. Replace or...

2005 LR3 Key Fob Replacement or Battery

Yes, GAP IIDTOOL BT. Already owned the tool. Took mere minutes. Tool has paid for itself with repairs/mods I've done, even before factoring key programming. Every LR3 owner should own one. It will continue to return on my investment. US sellers are around $500. I bought mine from UK for...
