    Yet Another Stupid Tire Thread

If you haven't watched videos on ECO tires then you really should. Putting those on a vehicle are very dangerous as the tread and compound is purposely made to create very little friction to the road. Breaking distance is instantly increased by 20+ ft when those tires are placed on a vehicle.

    Yet Another Stupid Tire Thread

Have you looked at the Goodyear Wrangler Adventure that has a thread already started in this forum? I believe the size is slightly larger than stock but out of the people who have tried it I think only 1 out of 4/5 people hasn't liked it. Something to look into.

I think in my observation the engine will run 70 MPH at around 2100 RPM if I remember correctly. If I am doing 40 MPH and in typical fashion on flat or down hill conditions will switch into Sport and put it in 8th gear, I am able to run it at about 1100 RPM. Of course if there starts to be a...

Lr4 official off road photo and video thread

I would say the Jeep is definitely more capable when built to the high end. If you build the Jeep too large and stout, especially on the east coast, then it is very easy to become very bored. Out west where Eddie is that has the Rubicon and tons of really large rocky trails where the...

Lr4 official off road photo and video thread

Haha. Didn't mean to derail the topic. I am looking forward to trying the LR4 on that trail from my picture but I don't think I will be able to go the entire trail. I can do the ends and get to certain points but then have to turn around. Have to be a little more careful with the rover dues...

Lr4 official off road photo and video thread

Thanks David. I loved that Jeep too. Was a huge amount of fun! Width on the Jeep was probably 63-64" with those tires as they stuck out slightly farther than the fenders but would tuck just fine when compressed. In this picture I have "35 inch" tires (measured out to about 33.7" on...

Yea.... I want to take mine to this trail once I get 18's and tires on it with some sliders but it won't be able to make it where I took that picture of the Jeep.

I understand people are harsh to the ECO button, it doesn't bother me at all, but everyone else I know finds it to just be an uncomfortable feeling. Reduction in power isn't that bad as I have a 2014. Never got a chance to drive a 2013 or older but the power isn't bad at all and the 8 speed...

Seat memory tied to remote (MY14 Lux)

I thought that I read that the LR4 has the ability to have the timed climate? It allows you to set the system to cut on and warm/cool the truck to whatever temp you set at the time you want it to. So the example would be that if you leave your house every morning at 7:30 you can set it to...

Since you are not an off-roader and think this post is something crazy. Here are a couple pictures of my JKUR being off-road. Hope this doesn't upset any LR people! I sure do miss this flex!

    Placed my order tonight!

I don't have that little box up there in front of the controls on mine. Not sure what that is.

My dealer told me the same thing. That the LR area manager had been at the dealership and told them that 2014 would be a small and short year for the LR4.

Seat memory tied to remote (MY14 Lux)

I don't think you are. Seems like it is the only way, granted I have not researched it. My last vehicle (BMW) had it so that the key was tied to the vehicle settings and I absolutely hated it. Every time my better half would touch the door before I would it would confuse the car and change...

Most fun I've had driving int he snow in a while

Joining the party late on the shift knob debate but I have now had my MY14 for 3 weeks and think the knob is perfectly fine in the LR4. I can easily be turned into sport mode when in a sticky situation and needing to squirt through traffic with a couple taps of the flappy paddles. Most...

I wanted a Black interior and couldn't find it for the life of me. Gave up and took an Arabica as my #2 selection and not wanting to wait 4-5 months for my special order.

    Disabling 2014 ECO Switch

I read the details somewhere about when it will cut off. But mine has been when I have just cut it on and driven a mile down the road with seat heaters, steering wheel, engine cold and climate control still trying to heat up the vehicle. Those last two are things that I thought should make it...

    Showoff Your LR4

Letting the Rover flex it's legs a little. While not much compared to my wrangler thought this was pretty good.

    Disabling 2014 ECO Switch

I have had a weird experience with this feature on my 2014. The test vehicle I tried out before purchasing would cut off at almost every stop light but my truck I bought 2 weeks ago isn't cutting off at all at any light. So I am not sure what is going on with my truck.

Change out differential and transfer case fluids

This is a great write up. One of the best I have seen on this forum. I will look forward to this process in 20k miles.

    EpicLR4's 2014 LR4 Build Thread

Yea, Dan, why would you want to go for a LC or LX?! Just drove home in the snow and the LR4 performed flawlessly! Passed a whole bunch of people that were struggling! Even went up a super steep hill for giggles to see how she did and got to use HDC on the way down. LR4 was awesome!

Advice on Installing Offroad Lights on Roof Rack

I was going to suggest you talk to floda over at expedition portal about how he did his rack with the same set-up that you are thinking with 4 in the front and 2 in the rear. Then I went and looked at his pictures one more time and if you look above the passenger corner of the vehicle it looks...

    DIY Oil Change for LR4

While never having an issue on all my previous vehicles where I have been able to do maintenance at home my process has always been to: 1) Buy everything from one location so all items are on the same receipt with a date stamp. If I can't get everything from the same place I try to order on...

    EpicLR4's 2014 LR4 Build Thread

I was able to do a little better than you guys. I think I should have gotten a little more for my trade but even at that I would be favorable to you guys who are paying MSRP or just off of that.
