I do wish you good luck with this. Keep good records and hope its only one starter to get it fixed. Its very frustrating to go weeks at a time without your vehicle. That Jag is only nice in the beginning. -

Rust & the LR4
I don't know for sure about the LR4's frame but are you sure you were not in a Defender discussion? The older ones are notoriously famous for having deteriorating frames and being replaced with galvanized steel frames when being rebuilt. This is a highly debated topic as well on the Defender... -

Only thing I would recommend is that if it is an early production run 2012 that you verify it doesn't have the chain tensioner issue. With the warranty it should be less of a concern. Just watch for any ticking noises. Hopefully most trucks have been fixed by now. There was an issue with... -

To add to what he said: 942 is Loire Blue LH is probably Left Hand Drive RAG is some sort of fee it looks like 906 Protection Package This was all from some Googling. Really the best bet is to go on Topix. If you don't want to register then post the VIN and one of us will look it up... -

What do these codes mean?
What you should do is go and plug the VIN into the Topix site. This will then tell you everything the vehicle has on it. You will have to create a login but that is painless. http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm -

I agree. How do they know it was 2? Did the guy on the line finally have a conscience and decide to fess up that he decided to not properly build those 2 engines? He didn't have his coffee yet? Don't understand how out of 1,000's of vehicles you end up with 2..... -

Fair enough! The new RR is by far priced out of most peoples means. Even with the dinky V6 its still $100k+ new or just glancing used is $90k+. Unbelievable. -

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?
These brackets look different than the brackets in the first post. My thoughts on increased support for the sliders are those silver blocks that are shown in the OP. I don't remember ever seeing those on my 2014. -
