Maybe.... If you don't need the transfer case you could go Dynamic. I do struggle buying something with "Sport" in the title and it not having it be sporty. I would have to have the V8 in the Sport. One call out is the RRS is smaller than the X5 which is smaller than the Q7. You said... -

Not sure which X5 you drove but I wouldn't get anything less than the 50i with the V8. Otherwise nothing special. Other half has one and it will put a smile on your face! My dealer buddy really wants me to come drive the new Discovery since I am not thrilled with my Q7. Again, great vehicle... -

Q7 is terrific vehicle if you don't have a desire for something sporty and are good with a vehicle that does nothing extremely well. If getting from point A to B in good comfort with good fuel economy and good technology is your desire then the Q7 is the ticket. If you are someone who needs... -

Assuming this is directed at my comments.... I have done Diesel twice, basically at the same time.... When my LR4 was Lemon'd the Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Diesel was what I replaced it with. Seemed like a somewhat comparable vehicle as it was similar in dimension as the RRS with the Air...- epiclr4

Best number I have seen stated with the V6 Supercharged is 21mpg on the highway. If this is true it will be a let down as I was hoping for the RRS 23 number on the highway. Getting 500+ miles in my Q7 is wonderful! One thing I always hated with my LR4 as its milage was more of a sports car in...- epiclr4

I had an LR4 and miss it dearly. Been through a couple other vehicles and currently have had a Q7 Premium Plus with every option but the Drivers Package. Dan, sad to hear you are leaving the LR4 but I finally feel like the new LC is finally attractive inside and out. Only issue I have with them is the price tag. Granted, they last forever. Look forward to seeing some pictures of what you finally end up with. -

Wow that is a horrid spare tire solution. Our X5 has a steel donut spare in the trunk. Between ~50 miles on the runflat and ~50 miles on the donut we should be able to get somewhere. Hopefully something better comes out. I think from my quick look in the cargo space it looked like there...- epiclr4

I'm actually picking up a 2017 Q7 tomorrow. It reminds me a lot of the LR4 that I had (2014 SCV6 Lux). I've missed my LR4 since it was returned to LR (Lemon). Driving the Q7 is very similar in that the engines are almost exactly the same with similar characteristics. Q7 somewhat floats...- epiclr4
