And it works would be the real treat as mine still doesn't have working A/C!
I think after reading the same article you posted Umbertob I wish I was in NYC to check this thing out myself. I have not seen anyone post any pictures of it from real life other than the blogs with it on...
Truck is working out great so far except for the last week that it has been in the shop. I am staying positive that it will be fixed by Tuesday though as I would really like to have it back next week. The seats are doing fine but long drives to warmer climates with no AC is kind of miserable.
Dan:
I will say I thought the first long road trip in my LUX was a little hard but since then the seats have broken in fine and are plenty comfortable. We regularly take 6.5 hr drives (about every other weekend) and love the Rover to death.
All they have are the 315Mhz and they don't have 2014 in their listing.
Only thing I didn't do was reach out to them. Maybe they have the 433's listed under something else and they will work as well. I don't know how much variation there is between shape/design of these sensors.
Ha, well, not fully made up yet but I sure am getting closer!
I like to drive myself insane with these things. I swear, it's a good thing my wife understands my shortcomings. :flute:
I am not entirely sure Fin. I would think it is the same sensor for all wheels. Would cause a serious headache at the plant. Plus I have only found 2 different part numbers, one for the 315 and one for the 433.
My guy at the dealership said he would cut me a deal on sensors, deal being...
Well this is interesting to know. I would have thought things would have been fine with a RR wheel. If I have to run a spacer to run the 31.9" tire then that defeats the purpose in my mind. I might as well just run the 18" wheels with spacers.
This was good information and is turning me...
Which wheels are those?
Have you gone through any real rocky terrain?
The cheap and plentiful is the thought process I had as well in terms of getting another one if one gets messed up. You can go on ebay and pick most designs up for $200 or less a wheel.
Would the extra 3/4" of...
This is certainly a path that I am still considering. I can have wheels and tires for just the cost of the wheels. This gives me options for sliders as well. All about balancing the budget.
What spacers did you use with your set-up of the stock LR3 wheels?
The only other option that requires quite some modification is going to a smaller braking set-up. I did find a company in Italy that sells a complete kit to go to a smaller brake system so you could actually fit 17" wheels.
I hear you Fin and Umb. They are a great looking wheel and at $420 for the thought of something that works out of the box it does make it seem like a better deal.
I will say that Umb you are nuts as I have been a sports car guy and seen people spend crazy money on wheels, I just can't...
You honestly feel they are worth the extra money?
Granted I have exhausted every resource I have been able to find to find a different option and have failed. Struggling to part with $2,300 for these wheels.
Interesting detail Fin. If you could connect with him and let me know the wheel size and tire size that would be greatly appreciated.
I am actually looking at a set of RRS wheels as they are easily accessible on eBay for reasonably cheap rates and I love the wheel design. My only concern...
Looking for anyone who is running 20" wheels and regularly takes their LR3/4 off-road. I know most people are trying to figure ways to get down to 18" wheels but there are those out there that are running 20's with larger tires.
Who's done it and what is your experience?
Kevin:
Don't want to derail your thread too much and you can PM me if you want.
How do your 20x9.5" wheels work on your LR4? Any Rubbing? How do you feel the 275/55 does off-road? I assume you would have some rock rash with the lower profile tire on the 20?
