I don't think this is anything close to what we're going to see in the coming weeks. Not sure what makes me feel that way but this thing just doesn't look right.
The son works at VW and said that all their test cars have a kill switch so if something goes crazy it kills the electrics and the fuel pump. He had a pre series Atlas come through today for testing that had one on it.
Stephen if you replaced any front end parts you need to calibrate the suspension which you can do with a scanner like George just posted. I had my truck on Craigslist about 7 months ago because I was so frustrated with it, same symptoms. But once I ran the calibration routine I have had no...
I would hold up on the blower motor and do the freon charge. Keep in mind also there are 3 stepper motors that move the air vents around to direct the flow of air from floor to defrost and blended in between. I had the issue and replaced both motors on the right side and that cleared the issue...
Not to hijack the thread after replacing some front end parts I kept getting the red error and she would drop to the stops. I ended up running the recalibration routine with the nanocom and all is well. I think I posted the solution on here when it was fixed.
Gnomad the old key will work if you program a new key fob. Discos had a limited number of keys that could be programmed but I believe the LRs can have multiple. I bought my FOB from the dealer and programmed it my self with the Nanocom, same as a GAP or whatever. I was at the point of selling...
I bought factory Genuine from Landrover Merriam and Goodyear put them on for about $400 but now they've stopped using customer purchased parts. To do over I would replace all of it at once and let them do the alignment.
Unfortunately the same people own LR K'ville and LR Chattanooga. A friend of my took her LR2 in for an oil change and they charged her $600 because they did a "service". She was so mad she drove up to Toyota of Cleveland and traded it for a 4 Runner. I also have another friend who had a RRS...
JWest the Nissan Patrol/Armada has a flip up tailgate. Having noted that, you said "serious offroad" and I always heard the Patrol was bad a** offroad but not sure how they are now. Videos of the Armada on you tube don't impress me although I would like to have an Armada for road trips.
J West started a discussion on JLR elsewhere on here and I mentioned on there that as long as I've been buying British cars (1975 Spitfire and it was British Leyland back then) they have had financial troubles. It's a shame because they have such a great potential.
I hate to admit it but I've owned 3 Saabs (technically 4 but one was a parts car) and 4 Landrovers (among many others). My first British car was a 1975 Triumph Spitfire we bought new and back then it was British Leyland which encompassed Triumph, Jaguar, MG, Landrover and I think Austin Healey...
To respond to the original post, here is an '18 for $57k. https://www.landroverchattanooga.com/new-inventory/index.htm?search=&saveFacetState=true&year=2018&make=Land+Rover&model=Discovery&internetPrice=&gvBodyStyle=SUV&lastFacetInteracted=inventory-listing1-facet-anchor-year-2
There's a stitched bumper looking thing that runs the face of the dash that looks like it completely blocks the two center air vents which doesn't make sense, I think this is a render or older version, plus there looks like a reflection of a head in the center of the digital display that...
There is a lot to be gained by purchasing a diagnostic stethoscope to pinpoint ticks and tocks in the engine. I'm sure there are videos on you tube showing the technique but like anything else under the hood, if you have very little mechanical knowledge then it's better to take a chance with...
I assume you tried the reset by holding the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for 15 seconds? Mine did the same thing and the reset got everything back unlocking again. It's been about a week and of course when it wouldn't open it was pouring rain and I was trying to put something in...
I bought mine from Landrover Merriam and Goodyear installed them for about $200 a side but since then (a year ago) they won't fit owner sourced parts. And if you have an indie do it remember you may have to calibrate the heights afterward or you'll get the red suspension light so as mentioned...
LR104315 but I see sport suspension and color affect the item number. That number is ebony/pimento with sport suspension. Maybe this is a crackpot idea. I was thinking it would be electronic but there is actually a cable and it's a different part number from the Discovery cable. Bummer.
