I thought all was well until early this morning. Just got into the rig to go hunting and she wont start. The battery is 100% as I even checked it yesterday. Looks like I now have a dead starter. Just clicks when I turn her over. Both keys are good so I am assuming its gotta be the starter.
I just wanna say. I love taking this rig off road. Yesterday was the first time in a while I have taken her into the dirt and on some trails. New set of 285 Nitto Terra's were also a great addition for both dirt and back roads.
90k miles and strong as ever.
15amp is in. Working fine so far. We will see. The odd thing to me is that Im in nearly 100 degree weather as opposed to below freezing temps mentioned in the service bulletin. Although high heat can cause odd issues as well. :albertein
Last night while driving home from the lake I noticed the washer jets were not working. Changed the 10amp fuse when I got home and all was good. Until today. :hmpf:
Jets have stopped working again. I imagine its the fuse again... but what the heck is tripping it? Any thoughts or experience with...
Ive had the fuel cap loose or missing warning since saturday after an attempted fill up. (Debit Card wouldn't work) I think ill fill up the tank and reset the battery. Normally these just go away on my other euro machines. :stupid: Any thoughts?
Battery seems to be slowly getting down on power. Drove the car on a couple longer drives today and the starts seemed to not be as crisp. Ill report over the next couple weeks.
Well... after the battery charger was on for 2 hours I decided to go out and look at gun safes. Pulled the charger and the rig fires up with no hesitation! I seriously can't believe these rigs wear down a battery in two to three short years. Im still not 100% sure its the battery but Im...
Thanks guys for the input.
I tried both keys and yes it does it to both. Although the first time I went out to the garage today it didn't actually do it. Weird... huh... So then every attempt afterward it kinda lagged and would not turn over on first try with the electronic ignition.
I...
There is a feature that allows you to just push the key over rather than hold it and it engages the starter. I don't know what its called.
Ill put a charger on it and see if that is the difference. I can't believe these rigs won't go more than two years on a battery. That is insane.
Starting Issue - with Video
Hey guys... this week the LR3 developed a starting issue. Battery is close to 2 years old. Recently when starting the car this week I get a stutter and then I must manually turn the car over rather than the electronic quick start (or whatever its called) on the...
Wow... just read the thread. So long ago did I post on page 1.
A few years back I got my concealed license and carry every day. My EDC consists of my Glock 26 with plus P loads, a Kershaw Skyline and a paracord bracelet...
LR3 is still my DD. Black like my Glock. :bandit:
Great to...
