DIY Oil Change for LR4
Same here. PF659 for the past two changes on my 16' LR4. Normally a year is up before we hit 6k mile oil change. -

Wife' LR4 had the LR rubber liners as an option. They do the job fine. WeatherTech floor liners are the best IMO. -

SCV6 engine noise help
Wife's LR4 SCV6 does not sound like that. Not normal IMO. Find another dealer. If not satisfied, call Land Rover Corporate and complain. Under warranty? -

Who wants oil!
Most JLR dealers only stock the 0W20 as it's backwards compatible for the older V8 5W20 combo. -

LR4 Tailgate Chirp Sound
FYI to anyone experiencing this noise..... Sounds like a baby bird chirping when driving over rough roads or potholes. Audible on the inside of vehicle. Dealer fixed over the weekend. Q638 Bulletin. Replaced upper tailgate wedges, lower tailgate striker bar and plate. No more chirping... -

LR4 Seats and Interior rattles
Our 16' has a horrible squeak from the rear area. I've isolated the seats and think It's coming from the rear hatch. Need to have the wife drive while I search. It drives me nuts. It's her DD, she turns up the radio. -

Pirelli Scorpion Zero
Followup.... Went with Michelin Defender LTX MS in stock 255/50/20. Must say this tire is better in every category vs the Pirelli's. Wow, are they quiet inside the cab. These should have come as factory tires. -

Low Mileage Maintenance LR4?
Enjoy the benefits of a new low mileage vehicle! Our 16 has 17k miles. Same deal oil/filter changes once per year. Change your cabin air filter if you have not. -

I know this has been asked before, but which oil to use in the LR4 2016 model?
SAE 0W-20 STJLR.51.5122 is the correct grade and spec for your engine. There are only a few oils that meet this spec.... Castrol Professional Edge E 0w20 Fuchs Titan GT1 EVO 0w20 There is one other but can't remember. My 16' is under warranty and I use the correct oil and document it just... -

Per JLR its part of yearly service. I also used the Mann filter. From amazon was great priced and a 5min install. -

Pirelli Scorpion Zero
These zero's are living up to their name! 255/50/20 OEM tires on our 16.5 LR4. At 15k miles they are near the wear bars. Rotated twice. Noticed one tire has failed internally as there is a golf ball sized bulge on the sidewall. Wife's DD. No offroading. Any recommendation for a good AT... -

We had a loaner Disco Sport while the wife's LR4 was getting serviced. Not too impressed. That D5 looks like it's big brother. Showed the wife the pics and she said, "ohhh that's horrible"! -

Our local dealer traded their loaner LR4's for Evoque's, Discovery Sport, and Jaguar XE. I was really not impressed at all with our loaner Discovery Sport. -

2016 - free first scheduled maintenance
Got ours back also. Same experience except no tire rotation, didn't reset service interval reminder, and oily fingerprints all over plastic engine cover!!! I guess people have no pride in their work..... I cannot imagine letting a vehicle go like that after I had worked on it. Fixed our ECO... -

Funny, ours is scheduled for tuesday also. Replacing the cabin/pollen filter is also part of the first maint service. I confirmed with the dealer they will change it. Won't rotate tires even though its listed as part of the first service. I'm doing the tires tomorrow myself. I've allready...
