    GMRS Radio Install

Did you run power directly to the battery or tap in somewhere?

    GMRS Radio Install

I ordered a mounting plate specific for our 4’s and 3’s from ProClips. There’s one made that mounts next to the steering wheel and one that mounts to the right of the terrain response knob. It mounts via adhesive so no drilling required. I’m drilling a small hole into the plate that comes with...

    Showoff Your LR4

I see your front plate is RMR. I bought my LR3 years back from them in Birmingham.

    New guy checking in...

170k Miles?! That’s awesome! I’m just at 106k. I’ve only replaced a map sensor thus far. These 4’s really are a step up from the 3’s.

    Hidden Winch - Voyager Racks

I’m torn between the Summit or Voyagers hidden setup. On my previous LR3 I had a custom bumper and Smittybilt synthetic winch. I was never in a situation where the bumper came in handy, but aesthetically it looked awesome. I just installed Voyagers sliders and I’m impressed with build quality...

    How does it work?

Ive been using Mobil1 on my v8 Disco4 for nearly 30k Miles without a single issue. I used it on my ‘05 v8 Didco3 as well problem-free.

    GMRS Radio Install

Finally got around to ordering a stand-alone GMRS radio. After using a handheld unit on trips and trails I figured I’d upgrade. Went with the Midland MXT115, 15watts. Mainly because it has a USB port for charging devices. The unit comes with a magnetic antenna, but I ordered an extended range...

    Rock Slider Options

I ended up going with Voyager sliders. Installed them by myself in the garage. Used a jack and 2x4’s, 13mm socket, pliers to pull plastic clips out. Driver side was slightly difficult as the compressor cover rubbed against the rear of slider by a fraction; enough to prevent bottom bolt holes...

    Rock Slider Options

I read that Terrafirma's are garbage. Have to cut them and won't work with the upgraded compressors. You get what you pay for.

    Rock Slider Options

I've come across several options for rock sliders. Any input on quality would be awesome. Specific knowledge on what works with the AMK compressor would be fantastic and appreciated. If Terrafirma's build quality is that of the more expensive what's the issue with saving some money? If not...

    DIY Oil Change for LR4

I just rolled over to 105k. Zero problems to report over the last 20k miles other than a hood latch sensor and MAP sensor. I do my oil fluid changes at home. Oil every 5k. Takes all of 20min with the Mityvac.

    Locating Correct Fuse for Tap

I've ordered a Uniden CMX760 CB unit to mount in the cab of my LR4 for occasional trail use when not using GMRS. If you aren't familiar with the unit it's fairly compact & competes with the Cobra75. I plan on tucking the it under the passenger seat and running the mic cord between the console...

    Hiddden Winch Install -- Estimate

Where are you located? $2k seems way steep for that install. I know a few shops in central Florida that do LR builds/repairs that do that install for around $800 labor. Try sources that know Land Rovers

    2010 LR4 HSE Lux

Hello all, looking to downgrade in size. Unfortunately decided to sell my LR4 to get into a sedan for commuting purposes. 2010 HSE Lux with 102k miles. Currently has an extended warranty till 2019 or 138k miles. Full coverage warranty. Grey exterior, black leather. Synthetic oil changes...

    Transmission Fault

2010 LR4, just rolled over to 102k miles. Warranty expires at 131k miles/2019. Flew the girl friend down. She's been driving my truck while I'm at work. She text me this afternoon stating the transmission fault(red) came on while pulling into the neighborhood. The red fault came off and the...

non-LR4-related question, but asking for info

I bought my 4 with 84k miles in Marietta last December with 13mm left on OEM pads. I just replaced all pads/rotors with EBC brand about 3k miles ago at 97k miles. I drive A LOT for work; this being the reason I purchased a higher mileage one so as to not worry about depreciation. Which shop do...

    Bad Camshaft Solenoid?

I received a CEL a few weeks back and pulled the codes. I got a faulty MAP sensor in return. After a few weeks of putting it up I found out my extended warranty covers it so instead of a DIY I took it to an Indy shop here in orlando that specializes in Land Rovers. Both mechanics there are...

Is this expensive for water pump change?

$400 for an oil change? They're milking you. Even if you don't do the vacuum method from topside you'd still be able to do the old school way by pulling off the skid and draining. Although I've read this doesn't get all 8.5qts of old oil out.
