    265/50 vs. 285/50 - Daily

I haven’t had 285’s personally. Currently 275/55, but from people I know running 285’s they’re a great tire option if not running a lift of any sort. Someone fit Auttoro Trail Blade MT’s in a 285/50 without issue and it looks pretty sweet on the OEM wheel.

One tire has wear on outer edge. Or did you mean pics of the new setup?

    20 inch mud terrain success

Tire update. Had 275/55 KO2’s mounted today. 20mi on them. So far they ride great. No more shaking steering wheel or heavy planting. Selling old set for cheap. Tire shop said 40% tread remaining. This isn’t the thread for selling, but if anyone’s looking for a cheap spare set let me know...

I’ve been running 2.5” rods full time since 2011 on a 3 and 4 without issues. 275/65r18 on the 3.

I noticed that this morning when I dropped my truck into access with worn tires. Very close at 275/55.

Yeah I know what you mean by “cutting”. It’s all perspective. So, from what I’ve gathered the 32.1” MT’s will fit but only with at least 3/4” spacers. I’m not a fan of spacers. I’ve already replaced both front hubs. Easy, but not wanting to do it again. The upper control arms sit close to the...

    All Too Common Tire Post

I’m looking into the EXO in 275/55 and the Toyo MT. The issue I’m having is the KO2 measures 31.9” and the MT measures 32.1”. Rubbing is not something I’m looking forward to bumping to the 32” size..

    Brake Pads

What year? If you’re doing Hawk and your truck requires counter weights for pads be sure to get them properly installed. If not, after about 1k miles or so you’ll experience terrible rattles and noise

You can actually use a rod lift AND a gap tool lift in conjunction with each other. By doing the combo you can get a higher clearance on top of the rod lift without an EAS fault. I’m highly considering pulling the trigger on a set of 275/55 Toyo’s as I’ve found a deal on them locally. This is...

    20 inch mud terrain success

The photo I posted is your truck? How do you like your tires? Wear? The 285/50 size isn’t showing on Toyo’s website in the States. I’ve got 2.5” Johnsons that I run full time with my current 275/55 Duratracs. The 275/55 MT’s measure out to 32.1” where as my Duratracs are 31.9”. Did you have...

That’s my current tire. It measures 31.9 new. The MT is slightly larger with the same spec 275/55 size. The duractrac is a passenger tire, not LT and it shows. 20k miles on it, rotated/balanced every 5k. Front left has a bubble and the rest are chewed up and chopped up. Ran at 37psi. Several...

    20 inch mud terrain success

Came across an older thread from a UK forum. Disco4 owner fitted Toyo MT’s in a 32.1” size(275/55). I’m tempted to go this route if I don’t have to add spacers

Toyo Open Country AT II Tires

Waking a very old thread. My 275/55r20 Duratracs are about ready to be replaced. They’re a 31.9” tire. I came across the Toyo MT at 32.1”. Has anyone had luck with this? I’m running Johnsons of course. No rubbing with my Duratracs. The MT is a 275/55 as well, but slightly larger in diameter...

    2014 LR4 285/55/R20 +J-Rods+Hi-Lift 5"

    All Too Common Tire Post

I would consider myself knowledge on tire info as far as load ranges and sizing goes. I have ordered a set of LT275/55r20 KO2’s to replace my overloaded passenger 275/55 Duratracs. They haven’t been mounted yet; thus can be swapped for another tire. Doing some last minute browsing before...

No electronic gap lift. Prior owner had this done on mine and I wasn’t a fan. It would throw random EAS faults. Using Johnson’s 2.5”. No issues.

    20 inch mud terrain success

I’m running a rod lift full time. No rubbing issues. But do take into consideration that the 275/55 size in Duratracs don’t come in an LT size, but a “passenger”. They’ve worked fine for me, but LR recommends going at least a D range. E is most common when going larger. I haven’t found an E...

I’ll look into that size. My current 275/55r20’s are wearing down. I’ve seen 275/60’s fitted, but never 285.

If not covered under warranty I recommend finding a good independent Rover specialist. It’ll save you.

    GMRS Radio Install

UPDATE. Completed MXT115 install. Very easy, yet time consuming. Drilling a hole to adjust antenna size for bracket wasn’t as easy as planned. Ran wires under carpet and under drivers seat back to the rear area. Tram antenna $10 Amazon. Able to pick up at least 27mi(tested with a friend) on...

Possible to add Bluetooth audio to MY2010?

Yes, it is possible. I’ve done it on mine via Parrot Bluetooth and a ProClips mount for phone cradle. Works excellent.

    Boring Hole for Antenna

Putting GMRS setup together. Ordered the Comet RS730 bracket. This is designed for CB use so the diameter is 1/2”. Several folks have bored the diameter out to 3/4”. I did this and found the threading impedes the wiring portion from sliding inside of the hole. My question is.. A) Should I go a...
