265/50 vs. 285/50 - Daily
I haven’t had 285’s personally. Currently 275/55, but from people I know running 285’s they’re a great tire option if not running a lift of any sort. Someone fit Auttoro Trail Blade MT’s in a 285/50 without issue and it looks pretty sweet on the OEM wheel. -

Tire update. Had 275/55 KO2’s mounted today. 20mi on them. So far they ride great. No more shaking steering wheel or heavy planting. Selling old set for cheap. Tire shop said 40% tread remaining. This isn’t the thread for selling, but if anyone’s looking for a cheap spare set let me know... -

I’m looking into the EXO in 275/55 and the Toyo MT. The issue I’m having is the KO2 measures 31.9” and the MT measures 32.1”. Rubbing is not something I’m looking forward to bumping to the 32” size.. -
Brake Pads
What year? If you’re doing Hawk and your truck requires counter weights for pads be sure to get them properly installed. If not, after about 1k miles or so you’ll experience terrible rattles and noise -

You can actually use a rod lift AND a gap tool lift in conjunction with each other. By doing the combo you can get a higher clearance on top of the rod lift without an EAS fault. I’m highly considering pulling the trigger on a set of 275/55 Toyo’s as I’ve found a deal on them locally. This is... -

That’s my current tire. It measures 31.9 new. The MT is slightly larger with the same spec 275/55 size. The duractrac is a passenger tire, not LT and it shows. 20k miles on it, rotated/balanced every 5k. Front left has a bubble and the rest are chewed up and chopped up. Ran at 37psi. Several... -

No electronic gap lift. Prior owner had this done on mine and I wasn’t a fan. It would throw random EAS faults. Using Johnson’s 2.5”. No issues. -

Yes, it is possible. I’ve done it on mine via Parrot Bluetooth and a ProClips mount for phone cradle. Works excellent. -
