Some of the towing tech on this car is pretty cutting edge, almost makes me want to tow something. :) TSA is some sort of system that detects sway / movement of the trailer and applies brakes selectively to maintain control in potentially dangerous towing conditions. I had a original Sport prior to the LR4. Inside room (first two rows, anyway) was pretty much the same as the LR3, save for maybe an inch or two of overhead clearance due to the lower roof design. Same steas, same leg room, same everything. Cargo room was... OK for a couple or a small family...- umbertob

Hard to tell without sitting in one, but judging by the photos in the press releases the dash and seating position of the new Disco certainly looks more upright and "traditional" than the sports car-like cockpit of the Sport (which has always been the case, going back to the LR3 and original RRS...- umbertob

US press release says it will be on sale starting mid-2017, so it'll still be several months before we see one on the road here, although your dealer may be able to place orders already, not sure. Hopefully they bring a few to the upcoming L.A. Auto Show in November, would really like to check...- umbertob

The NAS brochure linked above shows a tow bar receiver and draw bar in the Accessories section. The brochure makes no mention of any electric swing-out tow bars, so I do agree that's most likely a feature (along with Wade Sensing and probably a few other gizmos) that we will not see on NAS...- umbertob

Transmission program - 2016 LR4 - landmark
It's an adaptive transmission. It learns and actively adjusts shifting patterns based on your driving style (supposedly.) I find mine to be just about perfect, both in regular and in Sport modes. Then again, I have a different engine and transmission than you do, so my experience doesn't count... -

Was looking at the brakes specs on the brochure. 14.2" disc diameter front and 13.8" rear... Those are the same dimensions of the LR4 disc brakes (as the vehicle is so much lighter, the brakes probably were left alone in the redesign.) There is some hope we will still be able to fit an...- umbertob

Yeah, no way. I know diesel engines can be super torquey, but 600lb-ft? Maybe from a big displacement V8, not a 3-liter turbo 6. The real figure is probably closer to 400-450 (which is still a lot. That would be my engine of choice.) The stated torque from the gas V6 Supercharged looks suspect...- umbertob

I guess it depends on the engine. Diesels tow 7700+ lbs, gas engines tow 8200 lbs. Also, it looks like all models but the HSE Luxury are coilers, no EAS. The configurator keeps crashing, so kinda hard to tell. Edit: EAS are part of the "Capability Package" on SE / HSE trims, along with 2-sp...- umbertob

Where to attach snatch strap?
Behind a removable cover (thumb screws - you can remove them with a coin) on the lower center of both front and rear bumpers. -
Black Rhino - Warlord wheels
I wouldn't take a computer printout as irrefutable evidence that rim is going to fit... There are many other aftermarket wheels with matching bolt pattern and offset, but none of them fit over the big front calipers of our cars. Can they order one for you to test fit? I am not crazy about the... -
Saturday project - Sway bar link replacement
While off-roading over a rock garden in Big Bear a few days ago, a sharp rock must have jumped up behind my front driver's side wheel, and despite all my underbody armor I managed to bend and break the sway bar link, which is surprisingly vulnerable. Pretty sure it happened somewhere here... -
How do I change Sirius display on 2016 LR4 ?
Maybe the Discovery 5 will allow you to perform such wizardry. In the LR4, WYSIWYG... :( Can't change a thing, sorry.
