    Just did a 350mile round trip to Asheville. She’s never run so smoothly since I’ve owned her! Averaging (according to the computer) about 20-21 mpg on highway. That’s considerably better than what I was averaging. Love this truck more and more.

    This is unexpected. Usually get about 16-17 average around town and this shows a marked improvement. No adaptation reset yet.

    Good work! I’m about 3.5-4 hours in and the passenger side is buttoned up but still have cleaning and reassembly of the drivers side left. Will finish in the am, so 5 hours is a reasonable time estimate and about what I’ll hit too. Fingers crossed she starts! Gotta scope through the spark plug...

    I had thought about the shop vac route. Also had thought about what might have dropped into the engine. Why the crap don’t they have a rubber gasket around these injectors that keep junk out of that cavity? Seems stupid, but not much that LR does seems to make sense.

    not sure on the brake pedal. On the transmission, I’d check your fluid levels. Sounds like low fluid. Also check your transmission cooler lines for leaks if level is low. Also, if your transmission has not been serviced and you have close to 100k miles, likely could use a service. Land Rover...

    Times like this I wish I had the SC v6. This last injector on cylinder 8 (7 of 8 out) is a pain. I’ve got Seafoam penetrating petroleum oil hopefully working it’s magic. 2,4,6,8 much harder to get out because 1,3,5,7 were pulled recently (new valve cover). At least 30-40 pulls on the drivers...

    ok, so the fuel rail came off with a slide hammer from harbor freight. Took several good whacks with it but it’s off. In the 1st photo, theres enough on the transition on the rail that you can use the slide tool and lever it against the rest of the rail so it bites the edge.
