    1200 RPM Hum

Not true. You can add it from underneath with the truck on the ground. I’ve done it... Easy procedure. I’d do it on an unlevel surface with the passenger side uphill and while the vehicle is cold (transmission fluid expands as it heats). Remove the fill plug on the side of the transmission...

    Transmission swap

Truck is promised back in my hands tomorrow PM. Can’t wait... been fighting transmission issue since day 1 with her. More than ecstatic Almost ready for another 150k

Good catch. No question that’s an alpine window

    2012 fault lights!!!!

Agreed. But when the dealer is not solving it, doing some things that cost little to no money and probably need doing anyway are where I’d start. Gap tool would be really helpful here...not just for reading codes, but for doing something about it.

    2012 fault lights!!!!

Have you tried a good throttle body clean? I know it sounds crazy but I was having all kinds of crazy crap going on. Truck was going into restricted performance and all kinds of traction control, cruise control, etc issues were coming up. Ran fine and then would go crazy. Might be worth a shot...

How to use the iPod holder?

Mine is in the shop right now, or else I’d take a picture, but yours is not complete. Mine sits in the middle of a larger tray that sits on top of the chill box in the center console. I have a 2010 HSE Lux. If it’s any consolation, I never put my iPod or iPhone on it...

    Front Control Arm Replacement

Air hammer those cam bolts out after a good soak. Fingers crossed, you’ll be fine. All in for both sides it was a two hour job, start to finish. I’d about do anything to keep from my local dealer getting his greedy mitts on it.

    Front Control Arm Replacement

No coating required. No squeaking. Definitely put anti seize on cam bolts though, they’ll get the brunt of any road salt in the winter.

    Front Control Arm Replacement

Granted, I have a southern truck so no rust to report. I did the polybush on the truck (just removed cam bolts with truck supported). Used a drill to get the rubber part of the bushing out and then cut the metal sleeve carefully with a sawsall and removed. New polybushes push right in with no...

    Vibration under my BUTT

Have you done a transmission service? I’d check your drive shaft for play before removal. It may be drive shaft, but I’d do some diagnosis before you start throwing parts at it.

    Vibration under my BUTT

What are you trying to fix by taking the prop shaft off? What are your exact symptoms? Sure it’s the prop shaft?

    Vibration under my BUTT

You need a female torx. Either E10 or E12, if I recall correctly. Harbor freight has a good set

    Vibration under my BUTT

My experience is without the front 1/2 shaft not engaged in the front diff, no vehicle movement. Ask me how I know ;-). I did not try 4 wheel drive low but if the center diff is locked, it would certainly make sense that 50% would go to rear. I didn’t think to try to lock the center diff either...

The 1/2 shaft or prop shaft?

    Insane Body Roll

My bet is something has come loose on the front end, based on work recently done. I’d take it back to the mechanic and ask him to go back over everything- if he’s a honest guy and a decent mechanic, hopefully he’ll find the issue and remedy it.

    Insane Body Roll

Yeah, but he said that the truck stays normal height. And a ‘12 you’d expect the air suspension is still in pretty good shape. If the valve blocks are faulting you’d get a suspension fault. If the bags have a leak (which I’m doubting based on symptoms) you are correct, might not get a fault...

    LR4 2016 HSE - Low coolant & water leak

On the 4 there’s definitely a redesigned return (which I could not get to seat into the water pump at first). Didn’t leak unless I was running it. Steady dripping once the engine was on. Not sure they’ve redesigned the pump, but would like to know if they did. I installed a redesigned hose when...

    Transmission swap

Yes, was literally two dozen bolts away from done...but four of those f’ers were behind a diff that I am unwilling to move, so she’s all patched up now and will be running her tomorrow to get a proper job done. $1000 is a good deal and I will be grateful to pay it. It’s a job that anyone can...

    Insane Body Roll

Odd. You’d be getting a suspension fault if it were one of your bags and the truck would definitely be sagging.

    LR4 2016 HSE - Low coolant & water leak

That definitely looks like it’s leaking from the front. I’d suspect water pump return connection or something your shop reconnected. There’s a little pressure fitting on the front of the water pump that sometimes won’t seat correctly. I’d start there.

    Vibration under my BUTT

Interesting- didn’t realize that was possible in 4 low. Good to know!

    LR4 Wont turn over

Doesn’t sound good. I’d invest the $10 in a socket to fit the crank and a long breaker bar to see if you can get it to spin. Is there water in the coolant reservoir?

    Insane Body Roll

Sounds like a sway bar linkage is potentially disconnected. Have you taken a look underneath?
