While viewing live data from my scan tool, while cranking ignition coil output shows as "OFF". Is this normal during cranking? Unfortunately since it won't start now I can't see if it changes to "ON" while running -

Located Ground/earth strap, same cable that grounds alternator directly. It's also located in the wheel well but forward (the image attached is from a weird perspective so it's hard to tell at first). -

See C3555, left and right banks appear to have their own grounds, mirrored on each side. I'm still trying to track down the main engine grounds as well. On other vehicles it usually looks like a metal belt but for the life of me can't find it on this engine. -

This would definitely be ideal, the more controlled variables the better. From what I can tell the starter motor is one of the few components on these newer LRs that doesn't have 20 sensors on it lol. So in theory you could power the starter completely externally and the ECM would not know any... -

Right no spark! And good to know about your ECU, I remember you saying that previously but forgot. Definitely let me know your results on checking for fuel. I have also been told Injectors, Fuel pump, purge valve, etc etc. Leaking injectors combined with a weaker coil could also do it for sure... -

Long cranking issue is back, will keep troubleshooting. Charging issue is still fixed though so the TSB was a success on that front. -

Just did the TSB, just the part regarding moving the wire from the battery positive to the fuse box. Charging voltage is now higher (13.8v on startup during hot day vs. 12.8v-13.4v before TSB). I will drive for a few days and report back on if the long crank issue persists! I agree it seems... -

2011 RR Sport HSE
I had the water pump and crossover tubing replaced on my 2011 for around $1000 parts and labor. I would highly recommend replacing the crossover tubing as chances are if the water pump has failed or is leaking, the crossover is not far behind. Just wondering, have you replaced the battery and alternator at the same time? Ive heard that sometimes if a new alternator is installed with a bad battery or vice versa it can cause the charging circuit to stop feeding power.
