    Here's a look I haven't seen before....

From the back it looks like they went to the junkyard and got a black replacement tailgate. From the side it looks meh.

Engine oil analysis results on 2010 LR4 V8

Attached is my first Oil Analysis, 130K on my motor, This is the first time I have used the OW-20 SpecialTec LR Liqui Moly. Prior to this oil change I used their Motor Oil Flush and then I used their Ceratec, and Motor Oil Saver products along with their Specialtec 0W-20 LR blend. EDIT: Forgot...

I'm on that same plan! 132k and counting.

Was that the original Chains/Guides/tensioners? If so, not too shabby.

    Anyone using Redline 0W20

Yup, I order from FCP Euro. I've also been using the liqui Moly Oil Flush, Motor Oil Saver, ceratec, and MOs2 products. Do your own research and use whatever you feel comfortable with! :)

    Anyone using Redline 0W20

Last couple oil changes I’ve been running the liqui moly 0W-20 special Land Rover Blend along with some of their oil additives. This oil meets the same standards the OE Castrol does. I know it’s completely subjective but I think the motor is running the best it ever has since I switched over...

    Anyone using Redline 0W20

5W20 is the old spec, 0W20 is the updated spec. That and brand of oil are basically a religious preference round these parts. I think the one thing Everyone agrees on is to change sooner rather than later. I would treat 7500 miles as an absolute maximum.

Engine takes forever to warm up

Agreed, not normal. I wouldn't worry about the fan clutch ticking. Mine has been that way for 3 years and 70k ish miles. Just replace the thermostat and go from there, also maybe check your water pump and coolant level?

My dash lit up like a christmas tree after driving in snow.

Agreed, get yourself a GAP tool if you don't already have one. Especially since you live so far from an authorized LR repair place. You will be able to pull codes, reprogram the car, etc.

    LR4 Parts Source's (SCV6)

I use: Atlantic British Lucky8 FCP Euro Rock Auto I’ve had good luck with all of these vendors. Like others have stated there’s situations where each of these have their own pros/cons, just depends.

    Oil level check when cold

I haven't tried this but after googling this topic: Open the hood, leave the driver side door open, and then when into the Service Menu, select Oil Level check option and once the oil level screen/graph shows up, press the cancel button twice. This potentially will give you exact reading of the...

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

These are 255/55’s, and honestly the ride seems slightly smoother than the Nokian WRG3’s they are replacing. Granted the Nokians were worn out but I am very impressed with the ride quality out of these thus far. No noise differences either.

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

I forgot to post but I got my Toyo’s installed Friday and drove up to the local Ski hill and back this weekend and they seem awesome so far! Photos from my office, I forgot to take pics in the snow.

What did you do with your Lr4 Today?

I've seen these threads on other forums and it's fun. Thought maybe we could get one going here. I'll start it off with a picture of my Lr4 with the christmas tree we cut down this weekend strapped to the roof:

    Heated windshield not working

Just had my windshield replaced this morning as I woke up Monday morning to find a huge crack across the bottom of my original windshield. I was happy it had lasted for 10 years and 130k miles (assuming it is the original). My favorite glass shop in town replaced it with a non-oem heated w/...

    Oil level check when cold

You shouldn't need the hood to be open. This should work any time the car is in accessory mode (What happens when you push start button without holding the brake) and the car hasn't been running recently (in the last 15 min).

    Rhino / ox hitch option

I chuckled. Yeah what a colossal F'up. Guy got SO lucky that happened in a parking lot. The ox hitch has been on my someday list of upgrades but I would be very hesitant to buy one now unless they respond with a damn good excuse for how that happened.

It's only $80 to add a vin license, your buddies should be able to cough that up to use your tool for free. :D

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

I was looking at a R2.8 and 8HP swap but cost/complexity drove me away. Realistically I have never done a motor swap on something this big before (Just snowmobiles previously) so I thought I would keep it as "simple" as possible and use the kit. It is also much more affordable to go that...

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

It would be sweet if these guys tackled that project next. https://www.alternativeconversion.com/ I have a D2 in my shop that I got with the motor pulled already, I will be buying their kit for that project.

Help in Denver Area- Disco Inspection

I wasn't saying it needed a factory service history, or that you personally don't know how to service a car. I was saying that no service history (Private owner or dealer) CAN be an indication that it hasn't been taken care of. Why would you buy a car as expensive and complicated as these ones...

    Lucky8 2020 black friday sale

Not a Lucky8 sale but simpletire.com has a $50 off Toyo rebate. I just ordered 4 255/55R19 AT3’s and got them sent to a local Firestone for install for $980 total, I thought it was a pretty good deal.
