    Brake Pads

I'm pretty sure they are the same as well. The EBC catalog list them as the same part number. Also when looking at compatability RockAuto and Card ID use the same part numbers for all of their RRS and LR4's of the same years.

    All Too Common Tire Post

You've gone through over 50% of the tires in less than 5k miles... There has to be other factors here. I got over 45K out of a set on an LR3. Is the wear even? or worn oddly in certain areas?

Front End Vibration and Tire Wear

It's a trade off. Can have a nice supple ride, and be an awesome off roader. There are going to be trade off. Make the bushing last too long, they will be considerable harder, and people complain about the ride quality. Can't have it both ways. I would say replacing them twice in 60k seems...

    20 inch mud terrain success

I currently a 285/50r20 Cooper Zeon LTZ. they have over 50K miles on them and are in the process of replacement research. Fantastic all around tire. Living up north. The mud can be fun the spring. I've never been in a situation, where I though the tire couldnt handle it. Or the tire were at...

Front End Vibration and Tire Wear

Just comes with the Polybush bushings, as opposed to the standard LCA's with the OEM bushing. The only upgrade may be the RRS control arms but there is enough conflicting information out there, I'm not going to touch them. The ride is not noticeable stiffer, but the handling is corners is more...

Front End Vibration and Tire Wear

I am in Maine, so I feel your pain. Order the whole arm, and Polybush bushing from Lucky8. Tell Erik you want the upgraded LCA. They can also provide all of the hardware to replace them. Cut the bolts out, replace the whole arm. As a bonus the arms come with new lower ball joints.

Front End Vibration and Tire Wear

Before even getting to the garage diagnosis, I said to myself it sounds like the Lower Control Arm Bushings or tie rods are worn. The LCA bushing have a tendency to wear out at 50-80K miles even under the best of conditions. Although you stated replace "again" is the second time they need to be...

    Terrafirma hidden winch install

OK I'm going to play the idiot. I cannot seem to find the listing for the TF096 winch mount on either the TerraFirma4x4.com or BritPart.com website. Can you post the links... or was this just something you knew about and called direct to order?

    Sudden braking while in motion

I use Sil-Glyde every time I have the brakes apart (for brakes or other service) buy it off of Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0054DWS1W?tag=vglnkc3018-20 Same at what was used when I worked at Land Rover/Jaguar The transmission, while normally feeling great, can have the odd shift every...

    Sudden braking while in motion

Sounds like you may have a binding caliper, or caliper slide pin. The LR4 does not have any type of automated self braking, so it would seem near impossible (given the system design, and counter measures to prevent such actions) for the vehicle to randomly apply the brake itself. A binding...

Traction/Stability control on snow and ice?

VernB, typically I'm the "go to" guy in in climate weather. Due primarily to the LR4s ability to navigate, safely, in bad weather. Living in Maine I am exposed to it all. I have pulled a few "beached wales" (stuck snow plows) out of various predicaments. Including a full size city plow last...

Traction/Stability control on snow and ice?

Living in Maine, I encounter many significant snow storms over the course of a normal winter. I actually prefer sand mode to snow mode. Snow mode works great when you are moving, but sucks to stop/start with. The sand mode actually allows a bit more controlled tire spin. Which in turn allows for...

    BT Hack for Pre-2013 LR4's

If I had an Apple product, sure. But I don't. Also I was looking for a wireless solution. Wireless charging with an audio cable just seems archaic. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Lucky8 Proud Rhino Sliders

The second to front hole on the passenger side. I don't think it was a manufacturing issue, but merely a stack up of tolerances. I only opened the hole by a few mm anyway. It probably would have fit, but didn't like the stress it was putting on the bolt when i was tightening it.

    Lucky8 Proud Rhino Sliders

There have been some issues, noted on the interwebs. Call Erik at Lucky8 he will take care of it. The sliders were originally designed for the LR3. With the stack up of tolerances, some have issues fitting perfectly to the LR4. On the flip side I bought a used set of Voyagers, and still had to...

    BT Hack for Pre-2013 LR4's

I think the majority of the problem with the iPhone interface, even if just using it to convert from a BT connection, is that it still has to be used with an Apple product. We are an Android Family, so options may be limited because of that. But yes I am happy to have found a solution and hope...

    BT Hack for Pre-2013 LR4's

I use my Gear s3 watch, plus my S8 is mounted to my dash, so it's pretty easy to change songs. If my phone is not mounted I do not pick it up to review (too dangerous). I have tried the Bovee, and two other similar devices. I have not had good luck with them (same with other LR4s) they can be...

    BT Hack for Pre-2013 LR4's

It only steams the audio. There is no control over the phone itself. The BT Dongle converts the stream into packets, "feeding" the audio system. The audio system thinks they are standard MP3 files. It can be a little quircky sometimes. But when it works. It is great. I use Google Music, and...
