    Showoff Your LR4

I think it's a perception thing. It does widen towards the back or I should say the vehicle narrows more to the back. The finish is a matte finish with no shine at all, maybe the wind faring is more of a semi-gloss, but still not "shiny". This thing is rugged to say the least. I am going...

    Rotors and pads

I use ECB pad and rotors, front and rear. green stuff and drilled/slotted rotors. I have been very happy with the switch. Way better than OEM in my opinion. Mixed driving; less dust, more noise when cold, but way better performance.

It is factory installed option only

    Muddychef Challenge

I installed a "T" fitting off of the main line of the compressor to a 2.5 gallon reservoir tank with a one way valve. This way it tops of the reserve tank when ever the compressor is running, and doesn't interfere with the EAS. Then I have enough air to refill my tires back to at least 32psi...

    2014/2015 LR4 Brake pad wear

The pads and rotors are the same for all LR4s. I am at 55k on my 11' LR4 and have replaced both front and rear pads and rotors. I think the average is 30-40k depending on driving habits. I have seen some as low as 10-12k. Don't take the dealers word for it, always get a second opinion if you...

    Wheel Color Opinions

Umber, I do have the Cooper Zeon LTZ, do think that is "chunky"? I am leaning more towards the Satin finsh just from looking at the wheel finishes using my google-fu. Here is a pic with the gloss black (same wheel) This is not my pic, it was taken from here...

    Wheel Color Opinions

Despite arguing with myself about this:stupid:, and really not wanting too, I am going to power coat my 20" split spoke. I was going to use PlastiDIP but have had some very conflicting reviews. since it will be used for trail riding 2-3 weekend a year TOPS I am worried what the finish will look...

    Plastidip and off roadin

Thanks for the information. I think I'm going to go for it. I think it's worth it to at least try for myself, considering the varying results. Also considering how often Max (my LR4's name) sees anything but pavement (2-3 heavy trips a year at most). I just have to decide on the color...[emoji57]

    Plastidip and off roadin

I'm OK with the scratches, that's what it's there for. What I'm worried about is the constant dirty look. Is that what you mean by "collecting mud"?

    EBC brake pads

LR4 with EBC greenstuff pads front and rear. Also EBC slotted and drilled rotors front and rear. Better stopping, low noise, and less dust. Couldn't ask for more :)

Looking for a 20" Spare wheel

I know someone has one lying around from switching over to 18" rims. Or one with really bad curb rash from an outing with the SO driving :ahhhhh: ( I have like 3-4 Jaguar rims in the garage because of this:hmpf:) I need one for a spare so condition is really not a huge issue, also since it's a...

    Plastidip and off roadin

Let me know how it works out on the doors, i'd imagine with the white it will not be all that noticeable but with my black more so. Although, i'd much rather have a haze to the paint, than scratches.

    Paleo Wheeling

These vehicle are from a time when the best roads were just flat dirt roads. Most roads were torn up by horse and buggy. Speaking of horses, talk about getting clearance and articulation;)

    Plastidip and off roadin

I know some of you guys are using Plastidip. I'm wondering how it fairs when taken off road. I'm think of doing it for both ascetics, and paying protection. Both the wheels (flat black) and the body (either black and blue, flex blue, or navy blue). I'm just looking for some input on durability.

    Roof Rack Conundrum

Went with the Baja Rack BR-LR-LR4-1-0 part number. I spoke with John (great help) over there and there isn't any difference between the racks, and they are not sure why both parts exist in the system. except maybe that they LR4 rack should not fit the LR3 because of the brackets. I also ordered...

    Brakes for an LR4

I would agree that a dealer is very conservative when it comes to replacement. However I would recommend replacing the rotors when you replace the pads. The OEM rotors do not leave much extra material for cutting them. Also if they are cut too close to the minimum you are asking for trouble...

    Brakes for an LR4

Almost no noise (some when it's cold), almost no dust, longer life, and much better stopping performance IMO. Also they look amazing through the open spoke design of our wheels.

    Brakes for an LR4

I changed the front and rear over to EBC drill/slotted rotors and green stuff pads. Couldn't be happier :) You can change the front and rear for what the dealer charges for one axle.
