    Off Road Recovery Gear

I am running a 20" RR wheel with the same Cooper tire. One of the first things i did.

    Rear ended yesterday

The mental image is enough, as I have ad this at a few stop lights when the LR4 auto levels. Glad no one was seriously hurt.

    Keyless entry upgrade

I would think not considering the vehicle has 13 "antennas" for picking up the key fob from various locations on the vehicle. The cost of the equipment, and programming alone would seem to be very cost prohibitive. That is even IF the vehicle can be retrofitted.

Change out differential and transfer case fluids

I have worked in a heavy equipment garage in H.S., and at Land Rover for 2 years after that. I have done many transfer/differential/transmission fluid changes. The filing/shaving are perfectly normal, and should not be a cause for concern. Be more concerned if there is anything bigger than than...

    brake clicking

Well guys hate to break the news to you... it has always been there. To a varying degree of loudness. Maybe it got louder to point you just noticed it. My wifes BMW has clicked since new. It is the gear shift lever release. When you apply the brakes, the solenoid engages/disengages to release...

Should I trade in my 20inch rims?

Your can regularly hey 20" rims on ebay for $100 or less each. The 20s look way better on the LR4 IMO [emoji2] Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

Should I trade in my 20inch rims?

I use 285/50r20's Cooper Zeon LTZ's. Great tire, and perfect combo for looks/functionality. I only rubbed at full lock, with minor articulation. in the first 4,000 miles, Now it's not an issue. I also run a dedicated set of winter tires.. I'm in Maine so I really don't have a choice.

    Akebono Ceramic Pads?

Also I am about 10K into the set and still have about 75%+ left on the front and at least 85% on the rear. I measure them when I rotate the tires in case you were wondering, I'm a bit thorough about that stuff:stupid:

    Akebono Ceramic Pads?

EBC Green Box pads, and EBC Sport Rotors (Slotted, and dimpled) Definitely worth the money. Less dust and better bite when cold, However I do have a squeak upon initial brake application in the morning until the pads/rotors wear off yesterdays rust surface. Usually after 3/4 appplications, no...

    Showoff Your LR4

Are you referring to my 285/50r20 on my LR4? No Johnson rods, but the did rub at full lock for the first 2-3k miles. They are not a problem now thought 5k+ and many adventures later I really enjoy these tires. Cooper Zeons LTZ. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

    LR4 Repair Manual

Got mine, very comprehensive. Mechanical, and Electrical. good thing about the .pdf version is it's searchable, much easier than flipping through pages.

    New Owner experiencing something weird

Same noise here. Since the fuel injection system is direct inject, the initial rattle are the injectors "firing off" cold. Noise is even worse in the winter time. Listed to any DI motor and you will get a similar sound. For LR/Jag they use DI on all models now so the noise is consistent across...

    Bluetooth Connectivity

Stupid question: When was the change over to allow for Bluetooth Audio on the LR4 System? Was it a simple software update? or complete hardware change? I want to be able to add the function, and can with some of the 30pin iPhone adapters but them I cannot keep the phone connected as you...

    Gear Totes

I was referring more to the plastic bins/totes/containers people use for their camping/overland gear. I have used for many years the Contico Tuff boxes, but they are not water/moisture proof. They have proven very durable, and offer great seating, but I have never had to travel through rain...

    Battery life on Discovery 4

Mine left no indication of pending failure. My wife was stuck out grocery shopping and called me because he wouldn't start. I am surprised you have had problems with the Optima, I've used the same one in many different cars over a period of years (4+) with no issues. It has since been passed...

Full size Spare - What will fit in the OEM space

I am sure that it would not have taken less time to write the post than to actually try it. Have you actually tried to remove the spare? Also I have gotten feed back about lowering the tire pressure, and that it would for sure fit, which from trial and eroor on my part may have taken longer to...

    Battery life on Discovery 4

Just replaced mine with an Interstate 94R size battery 5yrs/56K on original battery, not too bad IMO. Next up is to add the dual battery kit with an Optima Yellow Top ;)

    Gear Totes

Ok Lets see em... What do you prefer (make and model... there are so many)? What do like about them? Which ones to avoid? Environmental proof? What gear do you put in them?

That is AWESOME!! Thanks for following up on this. I will post with the current price and availability once i hear back from Eric.

Full size Spare - What will fit in the OEM space

I would put it on the front except that is where I put my water carrier after some modifications, because of the size of my gear totes. So there is not enough room to feel comfortable enough with the placement. I live in Maine, and do not travel far outside of New England so the heat you speak...

Full size Spare - What will fit in the OEM space

Awesome!!! thanks for the fast feedback. I am a little relieved that I can keep the tire there on a permanent basis. On a side note: I always have a compressor on board, as it's built into my booster pack. After being stranded for 4 hours last summer due to a flat battery (camping with...

    Kaymar Bumper Question

Did anyone every talk to Eric? I am very interested, but can justify 20-30% of my budget to shipping fees.
