I was able to switch over to the smaller style fob on my 11 using the gap. 1 year now and no issues.

Just to add... Never buy it at Costco for that price. It is usually on sale every few weeks for $27.99 / case. I checked today since I am due for a change and the prince is back down on Mobile 1.
This is what is needed to address the issue with LED trailer lights and the LR4. I did this to my 2019 Sonic RV and no issues since.

2011 with a Bovee, Pro Clip mount and Alexa Auto. All work together just as they should and it is truly hands free. One thing though. My Alexa is NOT mounted on the dash. I signed up early for the Alexa when they were including a flat magnetic mount with a stick on back and not the vent mount...
I wonder if you could be having a issue with the clock spring. I know other issues have arisen from these going bad. The connections for the heated wheel go through this and plug down in on the side of the spring.
I am on my 3rd set of Toyo MTs for my D2. Each set i am getting between 50 -60k miles out of them with a rotation every oil change. Those are pretty much the only tire I will run on that vehicle. Due to how well they have performed I am planning on switching to the new Toyo ATs for my LR4 once...
The Bearmach ladder rusts as well. Mine is 2 years old and already rusted. Bearmach did honor their 3 year warranty and refunded the purchase price. I am going with the Prospeed one next with the stirup.
I guess it would be ok. Hers had rusted through and broken off only after a few years. She does not live in a city where they have salt on the road so that was not a contributing factor.
Powerful UK has a video on the install procedure. Since you already have the sills cut it should be a really straight forward install.
as for the tools it requires just basic tools so you could get them anywhere.
No need to jack up the vehicle but you will need to drop the plastic sill covers to cut some plastic out. This will allow the brackets to pass through and attach from the body to the running board. Not bad and it is already marked where to cut on the inside of the plastic sill cover.
The Tekonsha P3 is truly plug and play with the ford adapter. I have been running it now for 3 years and zero issues. It takes longer to mount the controller then it does to install the wiring harness.
i did that same on my 2011 when i replaced the cats a few months ago. The only difference is that I went for a single magnaflow instead of duals as seen in the picture. Left the rears alone. Not as loud on throttle as the video but noticeable.
Actually we were. The wife was able to step up on that one with no issues and the larger size tube that was used was nice. The powder coating is the problem so i guess you get what you pay for. I am going with the Prospeed one this time. The stir-up setup is a bit ugly but will serve a purpose...
Thank you! The dog guard sits forward of the rear cup holder along the edge so it would be no issues at all. SO was looking at the pictures as well and liked the idea. I might as well use the coupon that Bearmach gave me when i got the refund on the ladder for this. Also, thank you for the...
Does it look like a dog guard would still fit with this installed? i would like to leave that in place if possible when i don't need the 3rd seat. thanks!
I typically try to order almost all my parts for both my Rovers from either Lucky 8 or AB here in the US but Bearmach has been great on the items I have ordered from them. The checkered bonnet plate I ordered for my D2 got lost in the mail somehow and they dispatched another quickly. The...
I had hopes on it but after seeing the tow rating of only 3500 lbs it is off my list. I am still looking at a defender possibly in the future but I have just decided to invest into my LR4 to keep it around a bit longer.
That is the one I am running with very good results for my RV. It was plug and play.
As for the GAP settings. Yes you want the 7 PIN for the USA. I also turned on Trailer Towing ball, tow bar, and the trailer stability assist since it was off.
If you are having issues with the LED lights...
I know you have and it has held up well for you. I still owe you those pictures on FB and will post them up this week. Hopefully when the time comes it will stay in the club.
On a side note don't let that Gap tool go. When i installed the paddle shifters on my 4 I asked GAP if they had plans...
This is a picture of the rear cover back on after the cut. I needed to adjust around where the bolts pass into the hitch with a file for clearance but that was about it. There should be a template included with the kit.
I have one as well that I bought back in 2016. It has worked better that the curt the 4 had on it before that. The only thing i have noticed besides the crappy powder coating as mentioned before is that you do need to check the torque on the mounting bolts once a season. At the end of camping...
For that one you could do just the backing with the paddles if you can find the entire assembly. I was not able to find that when i was looking so I ordered the entire steering wheel minus the air bag.
