Ordering 2011 LR4
Apparently there is some sort of change coming for 2011 models. Anyone know what this is? I know this is vague but I read on another board there will be a difference between 2010 and 2011 - perhaps trim level. -
Dead LR4
I would contact LR north america and let them know the situation - that your dealer is doing their best to find the problem but you're not confident in the outcome. Get some documentation so that when you do get it back and if it does fail agin you will have a paper trail and it will be easier... -

Fading Plastic
So far so good, its lasting. The streaking seems to be subsiding. I guess rain / a few washes evens out the streaking. -

Front Suspension Leak?
Just tell them exactly what you did and the results. Also insist on telling this directly to the actual service person who will be working on your LR3. -
Rear A/C... How does it work?
Best trick is to rotate the 2nd row headliner vent towards you (driver). You get a nice neck blast of cold air. -

Front Suspension Leak?
I think if you detach the battery cables just after turning off the LR3 the computer won't be able to self level. The corner with the leak will then be lower. I read about this method on another forum so don't hold me to it. But the theory makes sense. Would give you some valuable info to go to... -

Its most likely a faulty valve block. 1 corner loses air and the vehicle continues to try and self level all the way down. -
Fading Plastic
Forgot to add that I used a 1" foam paint brush for application, much easier than the applicator on the bottle. -

Finished putting 3 coats of Forever Black on all the trim including the very faded piece right below the winshield. Washing the trim is key, as I got lazy and didn't wash the windshield piece and it didn't turn as black. I had streaking along the wheel arches but the front and rear bumpers did... -

Wanted all the options available so chose hse. Also didn't care for the 18" wheels although the tire options vs. 19" are far superior. -

Some Issues to Report
Brake noise while reversing is a known issue and to my knowledge they don't have a solution yet. Others have reported that once the brakes are fully bedded in the noise reduces. -
Mod/question
I like mine too, but it has been a total lemon from day one. It was one of the first produced (very early VIN) and I have suffered through every conceiveable teething issue. I will never buy a first model year vehicle again. I think I'll aim for a late 2011 LR4. Rant over. -

Electrical Fix
LR has released a 2010 "Enhancement Program" software update. I know the window close for passenger rear was part of the upgrade. Have you had this done?
