Yes, mine had it done at 25,000 miles. I would insist on the dealer putting in new control arms with the newly designed ball joints. -

My 4.4l v8 feels underpowered in my LR3. I wouldn't buy an Lr4 with the eco boost I'd want the full 5l v8. -

Ugh, another front suspension question...advice.
Lower front control arms, arb bushings, front upper control arms, steering rack. I had all those checked for my front clunk. New front lower control arms and arb bushings solved 95% of the clunk. -
2011 LR4 Voice Controls
This is the first I've heard of this, I find it hard to believe. I can't imagine how much $ LR invested in the voice system, to give it the Heisman is pretty shocking. -

I got the ford esp 3 year extension for my '05 HSE. Paid for itself in the first 12 months. If I recall I paid $1,900 for the 3 extra years of coverage which was half off from what LR wanted for their extended coverage. -
Front Control Arm Catastrophic Failure
I've been reading these LR3 forums for close to 5 years, both this forum and the disco3.co.uk site. This is the only instance of failure I have seen. I would say that if you have an '05 with 75,000 miles I'm shocked your bushings aren't worn out. I had my fronts replaced at 28,000 miles on my '05. -

That's why I believe the current lineup will be the last true heavy duty off road LR's. My guess is they slim down (weight) and offroad capability except for the project icon LR (which will probably replace the Defender and LR4). -

I do not believe the diesel D4 meets US regulations for emissions. I expect that the next wave of LR's will be 2wd drive electric hybrids with 4wd selection - you can turn 4wd on or off rather than full time like the current lineup. -

3rd for the Ford ESP. It even covers air compressors - I'm on my 3rd. Doubt the Nissan would cover that. -

15,000 mile oil change?
Does the LR4 require any special tool to replace/remove the oil filter? Also, where is it in the engine bay? Up top and easy to access or down below per typical?
