Looking to buy either of these 2. Help me decide

Richard, here is another option, open up your search. Here is one across the country with low miles, CPO Warranty and from a Land Rover dealer. I'd estimate a $1000 shipping cost of open truck. You might be able to get this at a better price and they'll probably ship it for you. Before I...

Looking to buy either of these 2. Help me decide

Richard, Tell them you are a buyer at X dollars (whatever you think it fair) and wait. If you offer them a fair price, they will call you back before they send it to auction. Also, if you are at the store in person negotiating, that is better too because they will know you are not comparison...

Looking to buy either of these 2. Help me decide

richard, Here is what you do. Offer them three thousand less and use the money left over to buy an extended service plan. This is a good deal and if they are truly sending it off to auction, I bet you can get it cheaper.

Rethinking Adding Rear Entertainment - Thoughts?

We have RSE. 3 kids 7,5, and 3. Couldn't survive without it. That said, before I bought this lightly used 2015 Lux that has RSE, I was going to order one without it and use Ipads with a wireless router and just stream content wirelessly via USB drive to router to Ipads. The RSE route does...

Real world MPG on the LR4

neezer, Yep, it's a weighted average. I believe the city value is weighted at 55% and the highway value is 45%, which is why you don't get a raw average.

    Mudflaps from Hong Kong

Here are some better photos of the Hong Kong Mud flaps. They look pretty normal to me. Don't really even notice them on the rig.

Real world MPG on the LR4

I would have to guess that's a bug with JLR meaning it should read KPG but reads MPG. I am assuming by the speedo that this is a non US vehicle? at any rate, from Cali to Seattle, we averaged right around 24 mph (fill up calculated, not computer) for the trip. My wife averaged around 24.5 mpg...

    Mudflaps from Hong Kong

admx Well, there are brackets, but since there were no directions, I didn't use them. Wonder what they are for? Here are some pics. The car is really dirty, but you get an idea of how they fit. The fronts went on really easy and the fit was pretty good. No issues other than having to push...

JotaDe, Where'd you get the black lug nuts from? Wife's rig has the black pack, but the lugs are not black.

    Mudflaps from Hong Kong

I'm sure they're great for off roading. I'd love to see the look on my wife's face if I mounted these on her rig! I just received the Hong Kong specials yesterday. I am going to mount them (or at least try) sometime today. I'll take pics and post them.

    LR5 Release Updates?

As I am sure it's no surprise, the LR5 was a no show at the NY auto show, which, its continued absence might be a bit of a red flag. I spoke with one of the JLR guys there who was said the only information he had is that is was doubtful that it would be called an "LR5". So, there you go...

    LR5 Release Updates?

Uh, NO, it is not "superstition", it is fact. New release vehicles have a much higher rate of TGW and NVH that futures revs. That is 100% true. There is no pixie dust or devil's brew here. FACT. I've done extensive research in the field and have significant experience with TGW measurement...

    LR5 Release Updates?

I'm in the auto industry. My tip to you: NEVER, EVER buy the beta version. And wait until mid year production for year two as many of the parts from year one are still in bins at the assembly plant, so even if there is a known issue, they either don't have a fix or don't have the new parts...

    LR5 Release Updates?

axel, I'll let you know as I am at the NY auto show this coming week for industry/press days. I'm in the industry, so have a lot of background here. Surfrider, its' the variants that cause more complexity. F-Series has many more model lines and trim codes, so it would actually be more...

    LR5 Release Updates?

It doesn't take that long to switch out the factory. All the tooling has been done. It's just factory set up now. Move the old machines out and move the new ones in and reprogram the existing where appropriate. Most of the components are made off site and shipped in anyway. There's not much to...

    Mudflaps from Hong Kong

They are literally on the slow boat from China, but I did pay the $1 upgraded shipping to get them here in 2 weeks instead of 4-6 weeks. If they fit and look decent, I'll post pics, if not, I hope they are made of recyclable material!

    Mudflaps from Hong Kong

Okay, I am just struggling to pay $250 for mudflaps. Now I remember back in 2004 when I bought my Porsche Cayenne S from a dealer in Tx. I asked them to put flaps on for me and he said, "I'll cost another $170. I said, "why in the heck are they so much", and he said, "because these have to stay...

    Ineptitude

Disco, If you did infact order the vehicle with these options and the dealer screwed it up, contact Land Rover customer assistance ASAP. They will get a factory rep involved and you'll likely get your situation resolved. You should have the build sheet or order sheet of something, even an...
