Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?
Did you drive between wiping on sunday and today? you should be able to remove your engine cover and reach your hand back there and blindly feel around on the coolant pipe. if your hand or towel comes back with coolant on it, you know its the problem. but, at 82k, id change it regardless.- DaytonaRS7

Lean condition at idle
PCV valve(s)are on top of passenger side valve cover. they are about 2" diameter. a little difficult to get to with the supercharger on, but definitly do-able.- DaytonaRS7

Oil leak?
im taking this as you are doing the timing chain job as preventative then? good for you if thats the case. or you know that your timing covers are the issue, and you may as well do the guides while youre in there? If i was me, id replace the chains while in there.- DaytonaRS7

I would guess coolant. It's too orange to be trans fluid. Rear pipe drains straight down the back of the engine.- DaytonaRS7

Map missing from Navigation
id say thats weird, but seems very Land Rover. have you restarted the truck and tried again? same mentality as rebooting a router. alot of the times this "fixes" minor quirks. if that doesnt work, disconnect battery for 15 minutes. still not working?...someone else will have to chime in.- DaytonaRS7

Very much so. small generic mom and pop oil change shops are about $120. i wouldn't really trust these shops to do anything except and oil change and the most basic of maintenance Indy shop for my Audi is $160 Land rover dealer is $190 Audi dealer is $200 So for this specialized shop to be...- DaytonaRS7

picked up my truck...she lives to fight another day! all is fixed. the original hard shift into 2nd is gone, and the failed rebuild attempt on the valvebody is fixed (replaced). I will ask him for it tomorow if I can have it. I have a feeling he will want to keep it since these are rebuildable and there is a (significant) core charge. Got a call from the shop, it's fixed. $2500 total. He replaced the valvebody. He didn't take it apart to actually see what I messed up. While I am curious, I also don't expect him to spend that time. he looked at it yesterday. said he is getting no solenoid codes, which makes him to beleive the valvebody is OK. he did say he is "seeing in real tiem that clutch 2 is having issues to shift". im guessing he is using diagnostic equipment to monitor everything. ive been posting in the sonnx zip kit thread, but figured id bring my problem into my own thread. My indy shop is suggesting that i have a bad clutch 2. background... I was getting a minor hard shift when cold, from 1-2 I rebuilt the valvebody with sonnax zip kit, new seals, new separator...- DaytonaRS7

Oil leak?
assuming you had the belly pan(s) on, the leak could have been pooling oil in them, until it spilled over the edge. you are correct, oil leaks typically happen gradually, unless catasrophic. but based on the photos you had, there have been leaks in the cars past and without a good cleaning and...- DaytonaRS7

Fluctuating RPM's at constant throttle (throttle hunting, surging, gear hunting)
drain fluid, replace filter, replace fluid. drive a few miles. drain and replace fluid. alot of time dirty fluid and filter will cause this. i cant answer how long it can go on without futher damage, but the (possible) fix isnt THAT difficult.- DaytonaRS7

New separater plate was used. Mine was a063/b063. I'm sure I just made a dumb mistake somwhere along the way. Unfortunately I just don't have the time or patience to do that messy job again. Waiting on a LR indy shop to give me a better diagnosis. It was towed to them yesterday.- DaytonaRS7

I reset trans adaptations before driving. I had no codes or faults when I picked it up. As I was driving, I got a transmission fault error on the dash. iid shows no faults or codes though. Weird. Picked the truck up. Drove it home, slowly. Luckily I only live 3/4 mile from the dealer. Shifts into P,R,N,D fine. When driving it won't shift out of first. not a dumb question, and im quite embarrassed by the answer.....no. ive changed the fluid twice prior and always had the front on ramps, filled until dripping, backed off ramps, then continued filling. never had an issue. this time, i couldnt get it off the ramps since it wouldnt go into gear...- DaytonaRS7

I'm very confident it's connected. Slide on the valve body fits into a groove on the pin. Metal lever in the trans fits into the same groove on the pin. I even mistakenly didn't have the metal lever in the groove, had to lossen the vavle body and reposition it. That's how I know it's correct...- DaytonaRS7

All together but I'm getting a transmission fault and it won't actually shift into any gears. I move the shifter and it says R, N, or D on the dash, but the engine revs as if it's in neutral. I can't even back it off the ramps to finish filling the trans. I'm getting code P0850-29...- DaytonaRS7

Figured it all out. Installing a new sleeve was a *****. Probably the most frustrating part. I'm done for the day. I'll finish tomorow reinstalling the pan and filling with fluid. Crossing fingers that it works correctly.- DaytonaRS7
