I just installed the EBC drilled and slotted Rotors and GreeStuff 6000 brake pads.
I heard concerns about being noisy over the factory rotors. I hardly hear ANY difference driving in my neighborhood where the braking sound reflects off the parked cars (windows down). With the windows up, I...
@Troy Angrignon So my suv came with a donut. I was going to replace it with one of the factory rims and tire for now. I assumed if a donut can work, the factory rim and tire size/setup should work too. My new setup would be 265/60/18 which is pretty close to the factory setting.
@manoftaste Yes. I'm not crazy about using spacers. So If you're looking for 18" rims for off-roading, I think the viable options are Compomotive, Evo, and TuffAnt rims. Even the 18" LR3 10 spoke rims require some modifications I believe.
@Troy Angrignon Sorry Troy that It's not what you expected haha I wish i did have such info.
I'm just mainly letting people know that there is a 10% Black Friday discount on the EVOs :-) Usually, black Friday deals are the best.
@hickersb Compos are $350 each right now but I think there are about a 50 dollars tarrif charge for all 4 or 5 wheels + about 450 dollars for shipping. So by my calculation, they end up being about $475 each right now. So I think you are correct in the ballpark.
But I have a quote in hand for...

@Michael Gain purpose: I’m new to this. I’ve mainly owned sport cars. I see myself driving between cities on highway and take it to light off-roading sometime. Since I live in Southern California, i don’t see mud / moisture in my future. It would be more gravel, sand, and highway usage i...
I keep seeing this one picture of Fuel D534 on LR4 on multiple sites. http://www.caliwheels.com/Land-Rover-LR4-g-14887.htm Does anyone have experience with these? Do you need spacers?
I have read about issues with Compo powder coating issues and I’m trying to find alternatives. I like the...
I definitely don’t want to be paranoid with my rims. I usually get my cars hand washed but who knows what they use to wash it with.
I want to stay away from compo but i don’t see other good options. Any idea if compo has made any improvements? Some of the posts are old on this thread.
Thanks, @Troy Angrignon and @cperez. I bought it today so I will try to document my experience. My father was a mechanic when he was young. I called him up to get him ready. I think this will be a bonding experience between my father and I haha!
Both good suggestions. Thanks again.
A fresh...
Hello everyone! A Newbie in LR world :-) I admit that I have always been scared of owning a high-mileage luxury car. I have a low mileage sports car and I can't take it to the trails obviously. So I decided to buy a high mileage 2014 LR4 3.0L cash to start a new venture.
I'm having the SUV...
