Huh, thanks for confirming, mbw. I always had a hunch they were different but thought it was just the angle from the driver's seat. I do find it funny that they don't really retract much...they are still wider than the rest of the vehicle (even with ridiculous side steps!) when folded. -

I can remove the entire overhead plastic trim piece with lights and roof switch; however I cannot get the lens/cover removed. Looks fairly simple; I tried a flat blade on the side of the lens and then a small putty knife to try and pop it out, but all I get is some unhappy-sounding creaky... -

I too thought the folding mirrors are a bit of nonsense (is it me or do they still stick out too far?). In any case, I have gotten used to it and actually find it useful as a quick visual indicator that the doors are actually locked when walking away from the car. -
