Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Yeah I’m relatively certain it’s not trans fluid either. It’s more watery than that. So I’m narrowed down to coolant or power steering fluid.

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

LOL. It is most definitely not oil. Its clearly visibly orange. I think its too orange to be tranny fluid.

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Yeah thats it. Don't think that's related then.... Question though, why is the one in this photo so wet? Basically, mine has a drop of coolant collecting right here:

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Thanks for the replies guys, but if you'll notice in my update to thread, I don't believe the leak to be the rear pipe. Its dry as a bone. So I'm trying to figure out what else could leak and run to the back of the engine. What is the small black cable and plug that sits right behind the...

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Been a while since I updated this. Between kids birthday parties, vacation, and Covid, I'm just now gaining traction. So I got the manifold off and am a bit concerned. From what I can see, it's definitely not the front crossover pipe. It's dry as a bone all around it. And to be honest, I...

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Oh you bet I do. Parts on order.

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Weird - I first saw it Saturday when under the truck. Wiped it off and it was back on Sunday. Wiped it off again Sunday, and now its still dry today?

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

I’m relatively confident it isn’t oil. The consistency isn’t the same, let alone the color.

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

What else would it be if not coolant?

Is this leak coolant or transmission fluid?

Well guys, it always seems to happen this way. Doing routine maintenance, I always seem to find another problem. Bought a very well maintained 2013 LR4 back in November. 82,000 miles. It's most recent service was the 80k service performed at a JLR dealer in Florida. It had a new water pump...

Does the vehicle stay in off-road height when turned off?

Definitely will do. Although, my jack stands won't reach the underside when on ramps and in off-road height.

What's the concern with Rhino Ramps?

Does the vehicle stay in off-road height when turned off?

Thanks guys. I for sure will put something underneath. Just for extra clearance I may even drive in onto ramps and then set it to offroad height for added space.

Does the vehicle stay in off-road height when turned off?

So I'm going to attempt to DIY my diff and transfer case fluid changes. Trying to think outside of the box on best way to access the underbody without a lift/ramps/jack stands etc. Can you just put it into offroad height? Or does it drop back to normal when turned off? I do have a GAP tool...

LR4 not garaged - should it be covered?

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm sure I probably am overthinking it and honestly felt the same way initially. But it just seemed that leaking LR's is something I've heard about more frequently than other vehicles. I guess my anxiety comes from the reputation of these trucks. Fragile, delicate...

LR4 not garaged - should it be covered?

the PITA part is what I'm afraid of. It's simply not feasible to have to clean the car thoroughly every time I need to put the cover back on. I'm in a similar situation @DaytonaRS7. 4 vehicles and only a 1 car garage. Typically keep the wife's SUV in the garage for ease of getting children...

LR4 not garaged - should it be covered?

Hey guys. My LR4 is not garaged, but sits on a portion of my driveway with crepe myrtle trees overhanging fairly significantly, so will occasionally get tree debris on it if it hasn't moved in a while. I've read all the sunroof leak stories. I'm worried all this debris will eventually contribute...

    Got some wheel/tire questions

I think after deliberation I'm just going to stick with my 19 and put an AT on them. The wheel just looks better overall with an all terrain on it. But if I had to stick with all seasons, I'd get the 20 in a second.

Struggling with Gap Tool Transfer of Ownership

Hey guys. For some reason I can't quite put my finger on, I'm finding the transfer of ownership guide to not be the most intuitive. I bought a used Gap tool which is currently locked and purchased the ToO from Gap. First of all, I can't really tell what purchasing the ToO is actually doing...

In need of the most random part ever. Any ideas?

No I have not. However, I managed to find a black set with all the hardware for really cheap. I then messaged the seller of the silver set to request a return since the set was basically unusable. They didn't want it back so just refunded me half my purchase price. So now I technically have...

I did ask the seller. No go.

    Got some wheel/tire questions

Meh. As much as I like the look of those 20's I'm thinking it may just be too much hassle. There are only 3 for sale I can even find right now, and one needs repairing. Then I gotta sell my 19's, and the tires.

    Got some wheel/tire questions

Yep. That's why I wanted to stick with the Continental. The only slight concern I have left is airing down for sand driving with the slightly lower profile on the 20. The 19 has a 5.5" whereas the 265/50 would have a 5.2". Wouldn't air it down for an offroad course but it may be necessary...
