    IID tool and TPMS

The dealer should be able to manually input the serial number of each wheel sensor to reset the system using his/her official diagnostics system - something you cannot do with an IIDTool (not yet, anyway.) They'll charge you for the service, but should be able to sort it if it's just a matter of...

    IID tool and TPMS

Just FYI, and I hope the results are different for you as it may depend on model year, I turned off "TPMS on spare wheel" with my IIDTool years ago, and yet I still get the warning every time I start the engine (I have a MY2013). Thankfully, unlike the running wheels the spare tire's TPMS...

    ARB dual compressor mounting?

You can make room in the auxiliary battery compartment, like those of us with an installed second battery have done. If you have a NAS 2013 (or earlier) with the V8 and without the additional hardware for the stop/start system tucked in that compartment, you should be able to make enough room...

Now I know where the Land Rover / Range Rover confusion comes from

They must be getting pretty desperate to move those Discos collecting dust on dealer's lots. ;) There is a factory applied aluminum Range Rover badge above the upper glove box of my 2013 LR4. Caused lots of chuckles at the dealership when I bought the car, everyone had missed it at initial...

    front bearing replacement

My original bearings are hanging in there, 180K-plus miles... Considering that I am running oversized (and very heavy) tires on 18" Compomotive rims, my high mileage, and that I go off-road quite regularly, I am amazed the hubs haven't fallen apart yet, but so far no issues, no noise, no play...

LR4 Dashboard Material and What Product to Clean it With...

Up until MY2013, the Extended Windsor Leather package was a separate, extra cost option on HSE Lux LR4s (in North America, not sure about other markets.) Starting with MY2014, Extended Leather was included at no cost on all NAS HSE Lux models.

No Service Menu on 2016 LR4

Your engine is probably running. Turn off the engine and press the ignition button with your foot off the brake pedal, then you should see the service menu.

2013 LR4 Home Setting in Navigation

It should be fairly easy to modify or delete on a 2012+. Nav Menu > More > Stored Locations > Home Location > Delete (or Edit/Modify if you just want to change the address to your own). Not sure about earlier model years as the interface of 2010 and 11s is quite different.

    Power Points

I don't see why not, I doubt they would have rearranged the electrical system on later model years since the vehicle was virtually unchanged in that respect, save for some extra fuses perhaps. A quick glimpse at the fuse box should confirm it, if the layout is the same and the relay is there, go...

Power outlets. Are any always hot?

They are not hot from the factory, when the power goes out so do the 12V receptacles - perhaps after a few minutes, don't remember for sure. You can make the 3 power points (front passenger, rear passengers and trunk - all of them but the cigarette lighter on the driver's side, basically) always...

2011 HSE Lux - Auto Fold Mirrors

Not sure I understand what you did with the GAP Tool. Did you select "Fitted With Logic" or just "Fitted"? Fitted With Logic option must be checked for the autofold feature to work. Try one more time switching from Fitted to Fitted with Logic and save, start and stop the engine once to make sure...

    Damaged Tire, Replace 1,2,4?

The front axle is more sensitive to slight differences in overall circumference between the two wheels (speed sensors may detect the rolling difference and translate it as "cornering" to the transmission, which may prevent upshifts past 2nd or 3rd gear as a result.) If one tire is only slightly...

Gracenotes Download error and Nav issues

What model year LR4, and is the issue reoccurring every time you start the car? If you can't duplicate the problem, don't worry about it as it may be a one-off reboot error of the infotainment system. At one point or another most of us have all experienced it: buttons won't work, no voice...

    Rear Entertainment System

The OEM system is great for DVD playback, and works as mbw explained so that you could listen to a source over the car speakers while your children watch a movie on the headrest monitors (or whatever other A/V source is connected to the aux ports back there, once they figure out how to select...

    Auto-wiper insanity

It's a rain/light combo sensor. Unplugging it may disable your automatic headlights as well (and I'd be surprised if you didn't get a fault somewhere on the dash.)

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

I am pretty sure I bough 4 like these, they snapped very securely on the Compos: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Land-Rover-4-X-Center-Cap-HubCap-Black-Oval-Chrome-Logo-63MM-6/172260386834?hash=item281b84e812:g:ZCoAAOSw-KFXdu-C - 4+ years later I still have them and they look as good as new. The ones...

    Air Compressor

I actually linked those two myself. About an hour ago, the words "seats" and "compressor" were also hyperlinked in my post (as well as in others using the same words) and taking you to an Amazon directory of random seats and compressors, but now the hyperlink is gone... Hopefully it was just a...

    Air Compressor

Unrelated, but why are some words in my posts hyperlinked to external sites, without me linking them? FWIW, if that's a new advertising "thing" introduced by the owners of this forum, I don't like it at all. It's confusing at best.

    Air Compressor

I have the Viair 400P now, great little unit as well. It actually inflates tires faster than the 450P, although it's got a shorter duty cycle (20 minutes, which is still plenty of time to air my 4 oversized tires back up.) For years I had the same unit as the one Ryan linked above (it goes under...

    LR4 wiper noise

LOL, sorry. The Valeo did work fine for a while, but eventually they started making this "clunk" noise as well. I swapped them around, but the clunk continued. Perhaps I had a bad set. Found a set of Rain-X on sale somewhere and replaced them. The Valeo were the best at adhering to the...

    Dual Battery Install in 2014+

On a NAS 2010-2013 it is relatively easy, there is room in the second battery compartment inside the engine bay after you relocate the transfer case control module sitting in the middle of it. Here is a lengthy but helpful thread that explains the procedure in detail...

    LR4 wiper noise

Currently on a set of 22" Rain-X Latitude. They're alright - no "snap" at the apex of the wipe, an issue I also experienced with other wiper blades from Valeo and Bosch that I tried in the past. The Valeos were the noisiest.

    Auto-wiper insanity

I leave the stalk in the Off position - this prevents sudden wipes out of nowhere, I think certain reflections on the sensor can trick it at times, and also prevents them from working furiously inside car washes, which could actually damage them... I only flip it to Auto when I see the first...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Just FYI, on LT sizes the warranty on the TG2 is "only" 50K miles - and they will last that long no problem in my experience (I am on my second set of LT285/60R18 G2s.) Never tried a P-metric Nitto Terra G2, which is the type with the longer 65K mile warranty. As tires gets more "specialized"...
