Strange stereo issue
Don't think the battery would cause that, since your first hiccup occurred while you were driving and not at startup. Sounds like an issue with the head unit, perhaps some wiring harness got wet and shorted out, or you have loose connections or bad ground somewhere in the infotainment system... -
LiftMaster garage door opener suck...
It's actually called, more appropriately, a repeater rather than an extender. It "repeats" and translates a remote open/close command from older Homelink devices into one that these newer openers can understand. It is a simple device, about the size of a pack of cigarettes with an antenna... -

Brake switch is still the same FoMoCo blue/white assembly... Perhaps we haven't heard of it failing in the LR4 - yet - because it is a newer car. Is it just the cushion itself or the entire seat that moves back and forth? Higher end Chamberlains / Liftmasters, along their many rebadged units, with "MyQ" technology need the extender thingie to operate with the LR4 - at least up to MY13s, not sure if newer model years have been updated. That's a big chunk of current openers offered out there, unfortunately... -

Considering it won't even be manufactured until April, and Land Rover normally introduces replacement model years around September / October each year, the 2017MY new Discovery should end up being a very short run. No wonder some magazines were guessing it would be introduced in 2017 as a MY18...- umbertob

Will not start
Sears battery is 2 years old... Mine (the OEM Varta crapola) failed well before 2 years - after about 16 months actually - although to be fair I do drive 30/35K miles per year, so the mileage probably doesn't apply to you. I've had much better luck with the replacement, an Exide EDGE AGM. Still... -

That's true, Land Rover recommends an XL tire at a minimum for the LR4. Most reputable tire stores won't install SL tires as a result (if they check the manufacturer'so specs.) -

It'll drive much more like the current Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, since it is based on the same platform. The Disco Sport shares engine and underpinnings with the Evoque.- umbertob

Right side mirror doesn't dip or retract. Ideas?
Perhaps you need to reset / re-memorize its dip position again (you do that while reverse gear is engaged.) Does the driver's side mirror dip in reverse? If neither of them do, make sure that you didn't accidentally turn off Auto Mirrors Dip (or whatver that label says) in the Vehicle Set-up... -

Yes, I removed the heat shield. Don't much miss it, either (as far as looks, by the time you winch up that big donut you won't see much of the heat shield anymore from the back of the car, anyway.) I don't think I could have fit the spare with it in place honestly, no matter how much air I took... -

I would highly recommend you carry a small air pump, even a cheap emergency and compact one will do the job in a pinch. I deflated my spare (285/60R18) to about 10-15 PSI - basically just enough air so the rubber doesn't get deformed down there when I am winching it up or if I hit a rock or... -

TPMS sensor needs to paired? 2010 LR4
