I'm currently at 195,000 km equivalent to about 122,000 miles. I got the truck at around 150,000km. I have done LCA's, tranny fluid change, tires, all 4 brakes and rotors. I took it to the dealer because i have extended warranty and i also wanted the most updated water pump and cross over...
Take it to another shop and get the fluid level checked. These trannies are very sensitive to fluid level.
A) Transmissions fluid level checking.
1) The transmission fluid temperature must be between 30°C and 35°C before checking can begin. Use test equipment to determine the trans...
I took my 2012 LR4 to the dealer to get the water pump and cross over pipe done, I complained about some other issues as well, check out the attached estimate of repairs and invoice.
This starting happening right after the brake job. I can't imagine they warped a few miles after I picked up my SUV.
In that case the rotors were already warped out of the box or the rotors were not properly seated on the hub. Try brakes from max brakes, I have been using them on all my cars...
Just had my water pump and crossover pipe done at the stealership, below is my invoice for the job.

Sounds like warped rotors since you just did your brakes and the wobble wasn't there before the brake job. If your inde did not tighten the lug nuts to specs after the brake job your rotors will get warped after about 100-200 miles.
Have you tested the fuel pressure ? if you're having multiple/random misfires , fuel delivery might be you issue. I believe the fuel pressure should be btw 55 to 65 psi. O2 sensors just monitor the fuel ratio and will not cause a misfire. Several injectors cannot go bad at the same time so i...
I'm at 193,000KM and i'm begining to hear a whining noise too but at all times while driving and in Park. I'm thinking it could be anything, water pump, alternator, p/s pump, tensioner, pulley etc. I plan to check once the weather gets better if it doesn't break before then.
March 2015 - 23,435 miles (inde)
front and rear pads
$1420
I can't believe an inde charged $1420 for front and rear pads only, I just did my front brakes and rotors this past weekend and i did rear brake pads 2 weekends ago all for about $200 for parts. I did the job myself so didn't pay any...
I was in the same boat too about a year and a half ago and i wasn't too sure of the poly bushings form british atlantic, so i bought the best after market bushings i could find and had them pressed in at a friends shop. The set of big and small bushings costed me a little less than $200 (CAD)...
Pfunk951 - We all know Stealerships are full of BS, years ago I had a Mercedes that had factory extended warranty and i took the car in to have them change the rear shock absorbers. I expected they would change both rear left and right shocks because obviously shock absorbers are changed in...
I did my fluid change at around 168,000 kilometers (Equivalent to 100,000 miles) , I had the slight jerk btw 1 and 2 before the tranny fluid change and it still continued after the fluid change, Did someone mention a software update can fix this issue ? I don't believe in the sealed for life...
2012 HSE LUX
193,000 Kilometers (not miles)
Did lower control arms at 170k
Still have original water pump but my coolant level goes down once in a while
Did rear brake pads last week, planning to do front pads and rotors this weekend.
Hello guys, does any one have a picture of the exact location of this Y pipe thats causing so much trouble ? I think it would be a good idea to change mine this summer.
I agree with everything umbertob said so far....
I changed my tires recently at a local tire place and they used floor jacks 2 wheels at a time. They did the fronts first and the rears after. when they were done the truck in all 4 corners was in off road height. When i got in the car i forgot...
I would clean out all the oil and monitor for a week or two, if you still see oil in the intake manifold then i would suggest to start from the PCV valve.
Yeap i get that noise too on extremely cold morning, it goes away after 1-2 mins of idling. First time i heard it i was worried something had come loose in the engine so the next time around i used a stetoscope to prob several areas on the engine and the noise was not from there. I believe its...
