What's with the self healing satin finish?
Xpel has been around for at least 7 years. I had my infinity wrapped back in 2014. It works well, but larger rock damage doesn't fully "heal". Overall I was pretty impressed with the results.- machmike

Thoughts on 2021 Bronco as LR4 replacement?
I don't understand why they didn't make the new Bronco tow more. Its out of consideration until it can tow 7k. -

I was out using my telescope in the mountains and needed to use the 12v accessory plug located in the rear of the truck near the tailgate after my portable power supply died. The 12v plug would only stay powered for 3 minutes at a time before the truck shut it off. Is there a way to keep this... -

I did use a multimeter, its how I got my numbers 14.75v under full load. The battery is fine and read just over your listed healthy number in the thousandth range, the alternator is showing functional. I appreciate the full numbers though, those are extremely useful to know. JLR said a remote... -

Nope roof is intact!! I have the Front Runner Slimline roof 2/3 Roof rack. It took the brunt and covers all of the glass minus the sunroof. I have some bad dings on some edges and bends so I think this could get expensive. Apparently, there are only two certified shops for aluminum repair here... -

Just got crushed by baseball-sized hail. Should I go through LR recommended shop to fix the LR4? It really got hammered. I'm worried it might need some bodywork as some of the rounded edges and curves got hit and look like someone took a hammer to the car. -

Towing with 2017 Discovery
Th LR4 and D5 are designed to not need a WDH at all. They are NOT recommended, I would trust them on this one. You are just wasting money. I would also say you may create an issue using one in the event of a heavy evasive maneuver. The anti-sway bars would most likely screw with the...- machmike

I have had a loaner D5 for a week Ask Me Anything (LR4 owner)
The cargo area is not bad per se but it can't quite hold a small 4 step ladder or other items like the LR4 can. I swear they made it about 1" too narrow or something, maybe its too rounded or something. It is also hard to load stuff into it, normally I would pop the lower 3rd down on the LR and...- machmike

FYI: I was incorrect the D5 I drove did have the HD package. MY LR4: My LR4 is the 2016 HSE with HD package/vision with everything except rear seat entertainment. I didn't buy the LUX as the wheels are too large (I run 18" compos with KO2) and the extra small amount of leather on the doors...- machmike
