You need to pull the black rubber cap on the top of each end and loosen the small hex head screw. Then tighten it once you've locked them in. This is far less time consuming. -

No more an issue than any other modern car. Galvanized steel is used in a handful of cars for things like doors. Nobody is producing a car with a out-of-factory galvanized frame. So I would not suspect rust to be an issue on an LR4 until/after the 4-5 year mark in a salty location. If you... -

Trans Am is mostly moto crossed so you will need to do what Tom Collins did and translate the moto directions for those portions of the trail into maps/GPS. Gaia, PDF Maps, Motion X GPS, are all good iOS here-I-am map apps, but you need the directionals. I have yet to see an app for that. -

TPS usually causes bigger issues like engine shut down at speed. Have not seen that in the LR4 but happened in my prior D2 and LR3. -

That stinks. My GUESS is that LR no longer makes those accessories because in the EU, there is heavy legislation on such things and pedestrian strikes. Even in Switzerland last year, my father was forced by new laws to remove his bumper guard on his 2000 G-wagon. They are crazy about pedestrians... -

The problem with something smaller is the lower volume and longer time to air-up. So depends how low you take your tire pressure. If you are going to rarely use one, I'd suggest getting a power tank setup instead. -
