    Kaymar Bumper Question

Is anyone else with a Kaymar getting a large amount of condensation/moisture in the LED light housings that come with the Kaymar? I noticed this a few months ago, but with the weather change and repeated care washings, it has become worse. Just want to know if anyone else notices this.

OEM Car Cover or 3rd party?

I have the OEM one. It is nice. It is not waterproof and not intended to be so in case that is what you need.

So far, I can only get it on the rear monitors.

Voyager Offroad - LR4 Tire Carrier

It does trigger them. I have not adjusted the aluminum reflector yet that the Kaymar comes with to prevent this. I'm waiting for my swing away to come back from sandblasting and powder and will try it out. The bumper by itself does not cause the sensors to go off, just the latch mechanism...

    20" Wheels and Off-Roading

Yes, they've seen some rocks. I think the biggest risk is blowing a bead with a 20" rim. The ones I have are off a 2010 RR. I can look around for the part number. I have a 1" spacer on as well, otherwise the 31.9" would not clear the upper arm without it.

    20" Wheels and Off-Roading

I have the toyo muds on 20" rims. Only taken them out a few times. The only reason I went 20" was that replacement rims ( the set I initially bought) are cheap and plentiful. I won't air them down below 15psi, otherwise they have been okay so far.

Voyager Offroad - LR4 Tire Carrier

You can have any fab shop cut and re-weld the Kaymar tire carrier so that it does not block the light. I did this to mine.

    Universal Hi-Lift Jack Mounts?

Guys in the UK are using the bottle jack that comes standard with the sprinter vans and machining an adaptor for the frame. Wish we could do the same stateside.

I love my truck, but I hate my truck...what to do?

That's funny, I was waiting for the redesign to come out to buy one for my wife. Having seen the interior or lack of interior upgrade for the same or greater price over other vehicles (namely the LR4), I'm completely put off by it. She'll either get a leftover model or we'll get another LR4.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Are you going with the Toyo? Interested to see what you think with that size, it is the same as the set I have on 20's. They rub at full lock on the front frame arms in the wheel well, not terribly and will probably go away as the tire wears. Definitely requires lift and you'll be hosed if the...

Out with Old, In with New

I don't see why they would be related(bumper to airbag deployment) unless the bumper is causing the crash/force to be more abrupt or less. The sensor is independent of the bumper itself, sensing the force exerted. I would think with a larger steel bumper (and you do have a steel bumper under...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Thanks guys. Umber, you are 265 as well? the 275 is tantalizing, just for the option of another mud terrain. :stupid: I think I have a tire fetish.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Thanks, I have 275/55/R20 muds that rub on the frame horns. But they are seriously heavy for daily driving. I see a noticeable difference in driving with them on. So looking for something more in between.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Any new consensus on tires for the 18"s? As winter may hopefully finally wrap up, I'm evaluating going to compo's and trying to decide on the right tire size that I can keep the suspension at normal height without adjusting the rods/IID in around town driving.

How do you use your LR4? (Aside from commuting)

I can recommend the wifi Cowon Autocapsule. I have one mounted and always on in my windshield. Looks like the Blackvue and Cowon are comparable. I know the Blackvue has a great rep overseas.

    Have $75K? You can get a '13 or '14 LR4 Today!

This is from the land where everything needs to be bigger and "better". Or maybe just bigger. The terra grappler is a great tire though. I'll give them that.

Lr4 official off road photo and video thread

Jeeps are far more economical to wheel due to the aftermarket support options. That is clear. I also think though that LR folks tend to be better drivers though because of the inability to fit 35" or 37" tires. I'm not trying to create an us versus them, but you have to get pretty good at...
