The latter is the idea. I already have a NAS d-90 with a 2.8tdi power stroke. It is good, makes solid power but for a 110, gas is what you really need to go with. As much as I love diesel, unless a cheap enough TD5 can be found. -

All of that needs to be done on the Terrafirma/Britpart one as well. Notching the tray for the drier tube, cutting off the upper metal piece, cutting all of the plastic where the tray is on the inside of the bumper. The cutting of the plastic is the least fun part. -

I'm confused, did you order one from Devon or Britpart/Terrafirma? They are different designs. The Devon has a wider cross section to replace the steel inner bumper. the Terra/Britpart version is just a winch tray. Pics below. The Terra/Britpart version is less than ideal as you have to... -

The driver of the Toureg was impressive but it required mucho skinny pedal all day long. Not something you can sustain without axle or eventual drivetrain injury. -
Showoff Your LR4
It is actually a 20" FFRR rim. Tire is 275/55r20 if I recall. needs a 3/4" spacer and only rubs on the chassis arm in the front wheel wells slightly at full lock with a rod lift. Counter intuitive with a 20" rim but it seems to work great. I wire down to 20-25 lbs off road and have no issues. -

If you pull the grille section off (tabs at top), you'll find two mount points either side of the grill. Some flat stock and L aluminum in 1/2" or greater thickness, couple stainless bolts, and you have a sturdy mounting point. Good for car washes, offloading, etc. -

Is there a thread or suggestions on spares to carry or have handy- i searched- (within a days shipping for instance)? I'm getting deeper into wheeling the LR4 on multi day trips. For my D90, I usually carry fluids, wheel bearings, a couple common engine bits (injector, lift pump, etc), spare... -
LR4 largest Tire size with lift on 18" Compomotives
Your issue is the tire width and height. I run 275/55r20 with is about 1/2 inch smaller and nearly the same in width. I get rubbing at full lock on the wheel well plastic. I'm not using the Compos but a hybrid approach of spacers and Rangie rims which makes my stance wider to accommodate the... -
