I would assume it's possible. It wouldn't be identical but you could remove the panel, drill as small hole behind the handle and place an led in there. You would just need to splice the wire for the LED to the wire that runs to the light for the door lock or any other light on the door.
Save your money and buy a proper one. Someone else has already spent the money on seeing what works and what doesn't. I guarantee that you will spend more time and money (time = money) making your own than buying one.

I came very, very close to running spacers plus LR3 wheels... But then I started doing the math. For the particular set of 5 LR3 wheels I wanted (refurb, 10 spoke with the grooves) , the best price including shipping was $1080. To get them powder coated black it was $550. Bora spacers...
I too just purchased one. I've found that powerfuluk has some decent videos via YouTube on how to run through different features and lucky8 had a few on their Instagram. If anyone else has a good source please let me know.

I take that back... My steel bumper covers the radar for the blind spot monitoring... Rendering them useless. But I don't care. Fyi, blind spot monitoring uses a radar under the rear lights, not the parking aid sensors.

Appears that compo PD1881s are now offered in both offsets. Decided that I am just going to run 265/65s...does anyone here see a benefit in the 5/16" difference in offset? Preference? Thank you in advance for the input.
I think you have to factor in more than just the rim weight. You may be adding 10 lbs per wheel for the rim....but to go from a 255/55/19 to just about any size larger of a tire you can go ahead and tack on another 10lbs-20lbs in addition to the weight of the rim. So essentially you will be...
