    Michilin, Goodyear or Nokian? (19")

So, the TireRack site lists the General Grabber UHP as a "Street/Sport Truck Summer" which made me think it's a no-go as an all season. But on Sears website, they say it's an all-season light truck tire... "Bold ultra-high performance all-season light truck, crossover and SUV tire is designed...

    Michilin, Goodyear or Nokian? (19")

Good input. For some reason only the Latitudes were coming up in my search. I'll look at the Premier and the Defender ktm mentions below. General Grabbers! That was another one I almost put on the list (my mechanic likes them), but I saw them listed as a summer tire so I wasn't sure how...

    Michilin, Goodyear or Nokian? (19")

I'll need tires in a few months and wanted to revisit my options and tell you what I'm thinking. I've read all the tire threads here over the years and have been driving an LR3/LR4 since 2005... First, I primarily do sand driving for my offroad needs and have finally figured out that I don't...

New Voyager Low Profile Roof Rack and Ladder

That's a nice feature. Be good if it was a quick disconnect clamp or something so you didn't have to get a wrench out every time you moved it, but I like that it covers both needs. If you put a long boat on will it hit the wind deflector? Looks like the rack would serve my needs as long as...

    Outer Banks

Awwwwwwww, nymoto! Sorry to miss you. I was out there at the same time again this year, was hoping to connect, and then went radio silent during the trip and forgot to check-in. We stay farther north, but came down to the Hatteras area for 4 days and did some beach driving in Frisco. Sorry...

    Dual Battery Install in 2014+

That's an impressive looking setup. I need that. Well, I need half of that. All I really want is a live Aux port in the rear, actually. But I have to admit, it seems intimidating to get there...

    Gobi Roof Rack

A friend has one of those on his Jeep. It's a very nice looking rack. Haven't seen one on a LR yet.

    LR4 wiper noise

Seemed like an unnecessary cost for something that 3rd parties are making the same or better (cheaper and easy to install). Also, I can't recall for certain, but I think (on my LR3 anyway) the OEM blade didn't look as nice as the frameless after-market options. That may be standard now.

REVIEW; Front Runner 3 Bar Roof Rack (Load Bar Kit)

Thanks for the update and details. That's a shame. Different story than I heard last time so I'll likely give him a call as well just to make sure there is nothing I have to be wary of. Maybe people were treating the three bars as platforms and putting too much weight and bending the bars...

REVIEW; Front Runner 3 Bar Roof Rack (Load Bar Kit)

The guy who helped me was Bryan, card below. I looked up my manuals and found 3, if it is of any help. The overall kit manual looked like this - PIC You actually start with this full rack manual, but only go through the first half of it - PIC2 Then you put these Foot Rail Adapters on - PIC3...

REVIEW; Front Runner 3 Bar Roof Rack (Load Bar Kit)

Ugh, that sucks. It's also a very odd response unless they completely changed the bundling. Everything on their racks was really a-la-cart so you could build what you wanted. This was just pieces that worked nice on their own. I think the *only* unique piece may have been these wind deflectors...

REVIEW; Front Runner 3 Bar Roof Rack (Load Bar Kit)

That would be unfortunate. It's such a nice setup. I'd recommend calling. Here's what I learned from the process... This is just the base of their platform. So they can pull it form in-stock components and charge you for those. They took it off the website because there wasn't a lot of...

    LR4 wiper noise

I also used to get occasionally clunks with the Bosch, but no noise with the Rain-X wipers which I use now. I don't do the full window treatment, just the blades.

Gas smell after driving. No error codes. No visible leaks.

If you read through the thread, you'll see that in addition to my issue, a few other people responded with gas coming from different places. However, I think in every case it was very evident once the tank was dropped. I suspect the RRS undercarriage is exactly the same, no reason to change...

REVIEW; Front Runner 3 Bar Roof Rack (Load Bar Kit)

Doug, welcome to the forum and glad the review was useful! I'm hoping more people buy this solution so they put it into the main stream line-up. As you noted, it was a challenge to find. On cost, I haven't checked lately, but I would call up (rather than rely on web search) and ask the U.S...

    OEM Roof Rack & Surfboards...

@iconoclast, these are the Dakine Long Aero pads that I bought; Dakine pads I bought a roll of this velcro which I used to cut a long strip to extend the reach. I don't think you need it for factory bars, though. Velcro roll And these locking board straps have been working very well for me...

    Windshield and Rain Sensor

Oh man, @bbyer , I miss those little clear plastic clips that LR put in my 2005. Don't have them on the 2013. They were nice for holding parking permits and such without losing small cards and receipts down the dash...

    Bike Racks!!! Any ideas?

Those are nice looking racks also! It's nice to have options. I agree that the 1UP racks are industrial looking. I really didn't like them when I first saw them, but everyone who owned them raved. Since they make one in black now, the industrial cut goes nice with my blacked out wheels...

    OEM Roof Rack & Surfboards...

What kind of attachments? I've found the Dakine long velcro'd on surf pads to be great for all kinds of things on the roof. If they are not roomy enough to fit around the OEM bars (they should be) you can just buy rolls of velcro cheap on Amazon and extend the reach with long pieces. I know...

    Bike Racks!!! Any ideas?

@Preetsarai thank you very much for the detailed pics of the rack and vehicle mount. I'm lazy, so I'll probably try the 1 bike rack and see if I'm okay just leaving it on my car most of the time. I did call and confirm (it's also in the web item descriptions) that you can extend the single to...

    Cig Lighter Amperage?

Okay, okay... I RTFM. (Wasn’t in my car when I posted earlier) 15A is my guess as the manual says they’re good for 180W. I don’t know if that’s any of them or all combined... (let me keep reading) ...according to the manual, they are fused for 20A! Front and Center combined, and I think...

2016 LR4 and Liftmaster garage + slide gate opener

It doesn’t impact the other car. The garage door opener just sees the repeater as another remote. It basically dumbs down the protocol/encryption for older cars. Your garage door will still work with all existing remotes and programmed vehicles.

    Cig Lighter Amperage?

Does anyone know the fuse size on our cigarette lighters power ports? (2013 LR4 HSE Lux) I want to buy a charger for an accessory but it requires a 10A fuse. And I guess the second question, if it’s less than 10A, is all the wiring rated for it if I bump up the fuse size?
