Where can I buy a key for LR4 OEM roof rack cross bars ?
I think it is a Yakima key, actually, but perhaps it varies by year. In any case, you can buy either of them on Amazon for cheap. Just search for "Yakima key" and it'll ask you for the 4 digit code that is printed on the lock in the drop down menu. -

CARMAX Warranty. I have had very good luck with it and they always authorized OEM parts for all repairs. One of the other main warranty companies only sends after market parts, which I have heard multiple service advisors complain about. -

Yeah, he checks to see there are no codes. I think the dealer computer picks up more things, though, and I need to go there if I wanted any firmware updates. Hopefully, those have already been checked on subsequent visits. -

Clockspring is one I hadn't heard about. I had to google to figure out what it was. I definitely hear mine when it is quiet and I am maneuvering at slow speeds. It isn't loud and I don't think it's an issue. I may ask about it though. FYI - Good description of it HERE if anyone else is... -

auto lock when key is away from the car
The only time it does this is if you approach a locked LR4 with a key in your pocket and only open the rear hatch. Then it opens for you. Let's you do whatever you want. It then re-locks the car when you close the rear hatch. You'll see the lights flash. It of course does NOT do this if you... -

Ahhh, my 2013 has the old LR3 style head rests which sit on top of the seats and are great for blocking your rear vision. BUT, they do work well when you are in the seats. The ones pictured for the 2016 seems like they would be right in the center of your back? And I don't see how you'd fit a... -
Removed running boards
You can also just put some low profile rock sliders on there. They'll cover everything and IMO look better than the running boards anyway.
