Yes. Your pic and the install pics from that blog I linked above is what got me thinking about it. A pocket is created that is open at the top where the AC lines sit. From the factory, most of the sand could drain out with a hose rinse. With a slider, you seal it in there...I think. So... -

I feel your frustration. Yeah, I'd be uncomfortable taking it to anyone that is not a regular LR mechanic and has lessons learned from years of working on them. I took me a while to find somebody. You have to start stopping LR drivers on the street or at the dealer and asking them where else... -

That's very nice of them. I called and had a long conversation with the guy last week, about racks and sliders. At the time, he told me they zinc coat and then powder coat the racks, but the sliders are just powder coated. So, clearly that made a difference when he re-did them for you... -

As an aside, I wouldn't be at the dealer with 95K unless I had an aftermarket warranty bringing me there. Do you have any non-dealer LR mechanics in the area? Look around. There is usually at least one within a short drive of every dealership, just to serve all the higher mileage vehicles in... -
